Elmore     From Weir Green to the Groundless Pool this afternoon 11 Mallards, including an adult with six ducklings, three Greenfinches, two Blackcaps, seven Chiffchaffs, a Stock Dove, two Green Woodpeckers heard, two Moorhens, 11 Jackdaws, 13 Carrion Crows and 91 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Kingswood     A Little Egret, a Grey Heron, two Kingfishers, two Grey Wagtails and two Dippers through the garden today. (Tom McCarthy).

Stroud     Along the canal path from Stroud to Stroud Brewery at least six Chiffchaffs calling, a Kingfisher and four Mandarins (3m, 1f)  just by the fallen oak across the canal. (Tom McCarthy).

Ashleworth Ham    Five Mute Swans, five Greylags, ten Canada Geese, a Wigeon, 30 Teal, two Shovelers, 15 Mallards, a Great White Egret, two Grey Herons, a Buzzard, two Red Kites, at least five Snipe, two Curlews roosting, a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming, a Tawny Owl, two Skylarks singing, at least ten Chiffchaffs singing, 63 Carrion Crows, a Treecreeper singing and three Reed Buntings. Frampton     An adult LITTLE GULL on the Sailing Lake, perched on the top of the former floating hut at 1:20pm. (Martin Wightman). Later two LITTLE GULLS, three singing Cetti’s Warblers, a Willow Warbler, eight Sand Martins which flew N, a Ross’s Goose and a Crane circling. (Terry Grant). This afternoon the GLOSSY IBIS close to Zeiss hide and a Grey Heron hunting Mallard ducklings. Eight Cattle Egrets on the South Lake causeway. (Tim Thompson). Cotswold Water Park East     At Pit 132 this afternoon five Yellowhammers, five Oystercatchers, a Green Sandpiper, a Black Swan and a Tawny Owl. (Chris Snook).

Tresham    Two House Martins flying N low over the fields NE of Tresham early this morning at ST 8023 9202. Also ten singing Corn Buntings between Tresham and Leighterton (and return). (Michael Johnstone).

Forest of Dean     Early morning at Crabtree Hill three small groups of c10 Crossbills, six Bramblings, six Great Spotted Woodpeckers, five Nuthatches, a Willow Warbler and c50 Siskins. (Jonny Gentle). Two Swallows flying low and fast towards Lydney this afternoon over fields at Brookend. (Ian Gorton).

Stonehouse    From Ryeford to Ebley Mill along the Frome a Cetti’s Warbler calling by Wycliffe old boat house, eight Chiffchaffs, two pairs of Dippers and a Kingfisher. (Paul Sutton).

Stinchcombe Hill     A Crossbill and a few Bramblings, Siskins and Lesser Redpolls today. The first Willow Warbler of spring singing but a silent bird seen yesterday. (James Robinson).

Cleeve Hill     At the top of the Washpool valley a male RING OUZEL foraging in shelter from scrub in a gale. Also two Buzzards, one carrying nesting material, 3/4 Ravens, a Song Thrush and a Mistle Thrush both singing, a few Yellowhammers and Linnets and Golden Plovers heard in flight. Forest of Dean    In the woods N of New Fancy today, c30 Crossbills including a group of c12 including juveniles feeding on sycamore buds, two Nuthatches, a pair of Grey Wagtails, a Marsh Tit, c60 Siskins, a singing Blackcap and two singing Song Thrushes. (Chris Newton).

Cotswold Water Park East    At Whelford Pools this morning six Swallows, two Sand Martins, 12 Shovelers, four Gadwalls, 43 Tufted Ducks, two Teal, three Red Crested Pochards, five Great Crested Grebes, four Mute Swans, 90 Black-headed Gulls, two Willow Warblers, Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs and two Jays and a Muntjac along the River Coln in Fairford.
