Chedworth    Wren fledglings in garden this morning and 62 Swallows gathered on telegraph wires before departing S at 8am. (Harvey Sherwood).

Cotswold Water Park East     At Pit 132 two Greenshanks, four Ringed Plovers, a Dunlin, two Hobbies mobbing a Red Kite and a Raven. (Jon Mercer).

Stinchcombe Hill     This morning at least five Spotted Flycatchers, two Yellow Wagtails, five Ravens and a good number of Chiffchaffs and hirundines. Also Chalkhill Blue and Brown Argus amongst 15 species of butterflies. (James Robinson).

Painswick    At least two Spotted Flycatchers associating with mixed roaming tit flock, around the edge of Painswick cemetery this morning. (Sam Walker).

Breadstone     At the Ernest Cook Trust Reserve at least three, possibly five Spotted Flycatchers feeding up high. (Mike Davis).

Aylburton Warth/Guscar Rocks     WeBS count at Aylburton and Guscar this morning birds included 11 Canada Geese, seven Shelducks, three Mallards, two Grey Herons, three Oystercatchers, two Little Ringed Plovers, three Dunlins, 570 Curlews, two Whimbrels, two Greenshanks, 195 Black-headed Gulls, 98 mixed Herring Gulls and Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Also two Buzzards, two Kestrels, 15 Skylarks, a Meadow Pipit, a Wheatear, a Reed Warbler, two Ravens and ten Linnets. (Mike Smart).

Frampton     Garden birding today included a Willow Warbler, a Chiffchaff, four Swifts, 76 Swallows, 40 House Martins, a Hobby, a Yellow Wagtail, two Ravens, two Sparrowhawks, seven Buzzards, 71 Starlings, 18 Woodpigeons and three Meadow Pipits. (Nick Goatman).

WWT Slimbridge    A juvenile RED-NECKED PHALAROPE on the river from the Estuary Tower feeding with the wader flock at 10am this morning though very distant. Also 650+ Dunlins and Ringed Plovers, four Sanderlings, three Ruff, 90+ Curlews, eight Little Egrets, an Oystercatcher, a Great White Egret flew N and two Lesser Whitethroats below the hide. At Pit 126 175+ Greylags, four Little Egrets, two Lapwings, seven Tufted Ducks, three Great Crested Grebes, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 25+ Black-headed Gulls and two Mute Swans. At Pit 111a six Coots, a Red Crested Pochard, four Great Crested Grebes and three Mallards. At Pit 111 seven Tufted Ducks, three Great Crested Grebes, two Red Crested Pochard and three Cormorants. Guscar Rocks     This evening checking Curlews at high tide c30 colour-rings from Wibdon, ringed from 2010 to 2013 read; three head-started birds from Slimbridge 2019 (21, 23, 48, all three regulars here, 23 was reported recently from Oldbury by Pete Hazelwood); one bird caught at Twyning in April (AE), also previously seen here; and one bird metal ringed here in 2010, then colour-marked in Herefordshire this spring (Red/Black 79).
