Edge     At Rudge Hill NNR this afternoon five Meadow Pipits, two adults collecting insects and at least three juveniles heard calling from the grass, four Willow Warblers (2 juvs), three Chiffchaffs, two Buzzard and a Mistle Thrush. Also Chalkhill Blue, Brown Argus, Brimstone, Small Blue, Red Admiral and Peacock butterflies and Six-spotted Burnet moths. (John Fletcher).

Forest of Dean     A Small Copper and a Marbled White at Forge Hill, Lydbrook today, respectively the first for 3 and over 10 years. (Chris Sullivan). A juvenile Tawny Owl seen tonight at The Firs caravan site in Sling. Two Marbled Whites on the common land between The Firs and the Miners pub on Saturday evening and again on 22nd. Maisemore     From Church Road, viewing Court lake a female Tufted Duck and five ducklings. (John Fletcher).

Ashleworth Ham     This afternoon birds included 26 Greylags, 16 Mallards, a Teal, a Wigeon, a Moorhen, seven Lapwings including two large fledged chicks, four Grey Herons, a Red Kite, a Kestrel, a Peregrine, a Buzzard, four Blackcaps and three Swallows. Also two Comma and three Marbled Whites. (John Fletcher).

Shuthonger     A Great White Egret along the River Avon early morning. It flew from the Glos side near the bottom of Woodend Lane and landed on Worcs side. (Sarah Loaring).

Elmstone Hardwicke     A Common Sandpiper flushed off a water trough in the yard, a garden tick. (Jeremy Squire).

Stroud     At Bowbridge at 11:45am a female Mandarin with three ducklings. (Barry Hill).

Frampton pools    Around the pools a Mediterranean Gull on Court field, also the Ross’s Goose, a Bar-headed Goose 46 Greylags, 117 Barnacle Geese, 28 Canada Geese, 50+ Swifts, six Common Terns, two juvenile Grasshopper Warblers and an adult reeling on and off. (Nick Goatman).
