WWT Slimbridge     The second calendar year BONAPARTE’S GULL again today, for the first time since the initial sighting on 28th February. The reserve is closed but there is a chance of finding it on suitable habitat nearby. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Cotswold Water Park East    At Whelford Pool NR a Goldcrest singing. On the road from Whelford to Dudgrove at the ‘farm’ on the left with a large gate and lots of vehicles parked, a juvenile male BLACK REDSTART singing at 11am. On Pit 125 the drake RING-NECKED DUCK still at the far W end. At Pit 127 a BITTERN flew E at 11:37am. Also an Egyptian Goose, six Red Crested Pochards and a Lesser Redpoll. (Ken Heron).

Cotswold Water Park West    200+ mixed group of ducks in a flooded field S of Cerney Wick at SU084953 this morning mostly Wigeon, several Teal and Gadwall, a Shelduck and two Pintails. Eight Sand Martins flew over the canal near Cerney Wick and 50 Starlings. Also a Chiffchaff and a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming, a Little Egret alongside the canal close to Cerney Wick and 26 Canada Geese grazing in a field alongside the old railway line.
