Painswick Beacon    This morning a Marsh Tit calling, first since the autumn, a Green Woodpecker, a male Bullfinch and plenty of Meadow Pipits. (Sam Walker).

Minsterworth Ham    A LITTLE RINGED PLOVER flying around this morning and still 160 Pintails, 42 Shovelers, 45 Gadwalls, a Peregrine, nine Black-tailed Godwits and two Sand Martins. (Andy Jayne).

Frampton Pools     This morning a Sand Martin, 58 Tufted Ducks, 33 Coots, nine Great Crested Grebes, 19 Mute Swans, a pair of Gadwalls, a pair of Shelducks, a pair of Oystercatchers, a pair of Mandarins and a Chiffchaff. This evening at Court Lake five CATTLE EGRETS came in to roost with 39 Little Egrets. (Nick Goatman). WWT Slimbridge    A near adult ICELAND GULL came in off the river at 9am and flew past Estuary Tower, then inland, briefly seen at South Lake then flew back towards river before eventually settling on the Dumbles until midday at least. The CATTLE EGRET was on the seawall near the pillbox this morning, a female Marsh Harrier drifted over the Tack Piece towards Estuary Tower and a female MERLIN perched near the seawall. Cleeve Hill     Five SHORT-EARED OWLS this afternoon accidentally flushed from rough vegetation on at Watery Bottom at SO995261. They hung around the quarries for a while  then lost to view. (Giles Alder).

Frampton     On the Sailing Lake this morning an adult Yellow-legged Gull, the male Goldeneye and a male Mandarin. Late afternoon a Sand Martin. (Nick Goatman). Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area today the resident Peregrine pair and an intruding Peregrine, a male Sparrowhawk, seven Buzzards, Stock Doves, a Mistle Thrush, a Wren, two Goldcrests, a nesting Raven pair and a Green Woodpecker calling. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Forest of Dean     A female Hawfinch in treetops off Crown Lane, Parkend, another in treetops distantly by the church and five flew over the cricket pitch towards Nagshead this morning. Two Mistle Thrushes on the cricket pitch and a Raven over. Two Dippers on the stream behind The Fountain Inn. Nagshead very quiet with only a male Siskin, a Treecreeper, a pair of Bullfinches and a Raven all on the Long Trail. 2+ Siskins and 30 Redwings at Woorgreens. The GREAT GREY SHRIKE on Crabtree Hill at 1pm and still present at 3pm. Also a pair of Stonechats, a Meadow Pipit and a Raven. At Drybrook Road Station at least one male Lesser Redpolls and 20+ Siskins and a large female Goshawk over. On Serridge Ridge at least five Bramblings, four males, but flushed by dogs.
