On Pit 126 42 Tufted Ducks, seven Red Crested Pochards, six Pochards, a Water Rail heard and a Reed Bunting singing. On Pit 125 three Tufted Ducks, 17 Pochards, three Gadwalls and an Egyptian Goose. On Pit 123 six Goldeneyes, four Tufted Ducks and two Pochards. At Pit 115 c10 Siskins. On Pit 116 50 Wigeon, 22 Tufted Ducks and four Red Crested Pochards. Severn Estuary     No sign of the Black-tailed Gull today at Epney, Priding, Upper Framilode, Arlingham/Newnham, Purton or Sharpness. At Arlingham/Newnham 90% of the gulls were Common, no more than 30 Lesser Black-backs, 1 Great Black-backed and the rest Black-headed Gulls. (Various observers). Adult and first-winter Yellow-legged Gulls at Purton. (Francis Steuck).

Cotswold Water Park West    The LESSER WHITETHROAT possibly of the Eastern race blythi still at Shorncote reedbed along the stream beside the footpath, usually by the last bramble covered hawthorn just before the deepest flood on the path. Park at South Cerney playing field car park at Upper Up at SU043969 and walk W along the footpath to SU03669682. This bird is secretive and requires patience. Brockhampton     At 10:15am a FIRECREST near the Craven Arms and presumably the same bird at 11:45am singing and flycatching by The Old Post Office. Around the village two Marsh Tits, a Green Woodpecker, six Stock Doves, 20 Common Gulls and several calling Nuthatches. (Steve Brown).
