Ashleworth Ham     This afternoon birds included four Snipe, 47 Teal, 72 Wigeon, a Canada Goose, four Shovelers, six Mallards, four Grey Herons, 25 Chaffinches, a Brambling, a Long-tailed Tit, a male Reed Bunting, 12 Fieldfares, a Song Thrush, a Sparrowhawk and a Great Spotted Woodpecker heard. Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening from Long Pool hide c300 Greylags came in at 4:30pm and c100 Canada Geese came in from 5pm but too dark to see whether the Greenland Whitefront was with them. Also seven Snipe and three JACK SNIPE, c100 Fieldfares and a Tawny Owl calling. (Mike Smart).

Cotswold Water Park East     At Pit 132 at 9:30am a Little Stint, a Great White Egret, a Dunlin and a Green Sandpiper. (Graham Lawlor).

Frampton pools     Two CATTLE EGRETS, a Great White Egret, 19 Little Egrets, seven Grey Herons, a pair of Red Crested Pochards, two Pochards, a Pintail, three Wigeon, four Shovelers, 395 Coots, 95 Mallards, 55 Teal, 61 Gadwalls, 78 Tufted Ducks, six Little Grebes, four Chiffchaffs, 16 Pied Wagtails and 12 Siskins today. Coombe Hill Meadows    The transmitter on the Greenland White-fronted Goose shows that it has been wandering around all the wetlands of South Worcs and North Glos in the last few days and is apparently roosting at Coombe Hill with Greylags arriving very late in the evening. (Mike Smart).

Forest of Dean    Six Crossbills and four Bramblings at Crabtree Hill this morning. (Andy Chapman). A Dipper at Wenchford, at Nagshead a Woodcock flushed by two Fallow Deer in front of the Campbell hide and two Ravens, and at Parkend Church three Crossbills, three Siskins, a Marsh Tit, six Long-tailed Tits, two Nuthatches and a Goldcrest. Tewkesbury     At Lower Lode brick pits 11 Mute Swans, 30 Wigeon, 22 Gadwalls, at least 38 Cormorants perched in trees and ten Coots. (Mike Smart).

Sheepscombe     Along the Painswick stream SO878115 this afternoon birds included male and female Mandarins, ten Mallards, a Little Egret, six Redwings, 11 Fieldfares, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Mistle Thrush, two Jays, 35 Common Gulls, 41 Rooks and 65 Woodpigeons. Nailsworth     A Little Egret today on the flood pond at the rear of the petrol station, seen from the cycle track. Two Jays in bushes along the cycle track at Woodchester. (Paul Sutton).

Stanley Downton     Several small flocks of Redwings, later one of 30+, a female Kestrel near the viaduct. A Grey Heron in the field below Bonds Mill and a Little Grebe on the canal and 100+ Woodpigeons roosting in trees. Westbury-on-Severn     A Green Sandpiper along the stream at Westbury. Also a Sparrowhawk, a Mistle Thrush, two Grey Herons and a Little Egret late morning. (David Smith).

Purton     At the shore c40 Wigeon, 30 Oystercatchers, two Redshanks, two Lapwings, and along the canal several flocks of up to 40 Redwings and at least two Fieldfares, a Kestrel and a Little Grebe. (Chris Newton).

Frocester Hill     At 1pm a female Kestrel sat on overhead cables at Owlpen Farm. (Paul Sutton).

Stonehouse area     Around St Cyr’s Church/canal a Kingfisher flew E along the canal by the Church, a Raven over calling and a Tawny Owl calling from the churchyard. A Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Buzzard at Stanley Downton. Another Buzzard near Bonds Mill, two Little Grebes on the canal there and three Fieldfares. (Paul Sutton).

Cotswolds    This afternoon a male Stonechat near Hazleton at SP074188. 200+ Golden Plovers SE of Hawling by the B4068, at SP082219, with many Lapwings. Three Red Kites near Salperton at SP068197, and also large number of Fieldfares and a few Redwings. (Laurie Pierce/Duncan Dine).
