Hucclecote     At 10am a juvenile Sparrowhawk trying but failing to catch House Sparrows trapped inside a Cotoneaster hedge, it flew off when mobbed by two Magpies. (Harold Smith).

Walmore Common     This morning a Little Egret, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, a juvenile Peregrine, a Sand Martin, 40 House Martins, three Lesser Whitethroats, four Reed Warblers, two Spotted Flycatchers, four Redstarts, two Whinchats and 18 Yellow Wagtails. (Andy Jayne).

WWT Slimbridge     Two Short-eared Owls from Holden Tower today. (Dot Jones/Neil Smart). The Wood Sandpiper showed really well from Robbie Garnett hide on and off throughout the day. Four Little Ringed Plovers on the Rushy, also a Grey Wagtail. (Paul Cousins). On South Lake a Little Egret, 95+ Black-tailed Godwits, five Ruff, 25 Redshanks, 45+ Lapwings, four Common Cranes (GCRP) and two Grey Herons. From Zeiss hide, five Avocets and a Common Crane. From South Finger hides, 95+ Lapwings, a Grey Heron, a Treecreeper, two Garden Warblers and a Willow Warbler. Symonds Yat     From the viewpoint today the resident Peregrines, a female Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, a Mandarin, a female Goosander, a Little Egret, House Martins, Swallows, a Swift, Stock Doves, a Jay and a Marsh Tit. Symonds Yat     From the viewpoint today the resident Peregrine pair and another Peregrine pair who regularly perch in a Fir tree on the Great Doward hillside c1 mile to the W of Yat Rock, two distant interacting Red Kites, Buzzards, Ravens, Stock Doves, a Grey Heron, two Little Egrets, a Marsh Tit, a Green Woodpecker, House Martins and Swallows. Also Speckled Wood, Common Blue, Holly Blue, Large and Small White butterflies, a Bank Vole, Hummingbird Hawk moths and Orange Ladybirds. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

From Mid Point a Reed Warbler, two Little Egrets, a Common Sandpiper, 12 Curlews and 12 Shelducks. From Holden Walkway five Black-tailed Godwits, five Lapwings and four Curlews. Forest of Dean     At lunchtime today at Soudley Ponds a Kingfisher, ten Mandarins, 50 Mallards, eight Moorhens, a Nuthatch, a Muscovy Duck, two Little Grebes, six Long-tailed Tits and a Roe Deer. At Woorgreens lake a Goldfinch, four Tree Pipits, eight Mute Swans, ten Coots, a Little Grebe and a Tufted Duck.
