Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint today the Peregrine pair, a Goshawk, a Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, Ravens, Stock Doves, Swallows and House Martins. Also a Holly Blue and Large White butterflies, Hummingbird Hawk moths, a Bank Vole and a Red Fox. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Forest of Dean     At Crabtree Hill this morning three Spotted Flycatchers, 13 Willow Warblers, 12+ Stonechats (6 ads), 12 Linnets, two Garden Warblers, two Tree Pipits, a pair of Blackcaps, three Nuthatches, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers heard, 11 House Martins, three Swallows, a Jay and two Buzzards. Innsworth     A Ring-necked Parakeet in the garden at 7:30pm before flying off toward Innsworth Camp. On Saturday 4^th  a Lesser Black-backed Gull with a blue ring and orange figures 838. (Mark Easterbrook).

Hardwicke     Along the canal S of Sellars Bridge a Little Egret and Hobby both flew S, 2+ Ravens, a worn adult and a juvenile Lesser Whitethroat, 6+ juvenile Goldfinches, 2+ Buzzards and a Grass Snake swam across the canal. (MK).

Barnsley     A pair of Grey Partridges with up to ten fledged young. (Duncan Dine).

Coombe Hill Meadows     In the Long Pool ten Teal, 20 Mallards, four Grey Herons, a Redshank and seven Green Sandpipers. (Mike Smart). Also seven Grey Herons, 11 Snipe, two Ravens, three Lesser Whitethroats, ten Whitethroats, a Sedge Warbler, 17 Mistle Thrushes and three Redstarts. Dragonflies included Emperor, Migrant Hawker, Brown Hawker, Common and Ruddy Darter and Red-eyed Damselflies. (Andy Jayne).  Note/ The boardwalk to the Grundon Hide is in the process of being raised, so that the Grundon hide will in future be accessible in time of high flood; the old boardwalk has to be dismantled so that a new one can be fitted, and the process may take a month. The Grundon hide will still be accessible, but that access is across the fields, from the first gateway leading to the reserve, rather than the canal bank.

Netheridge Farm     At the Barn Owl Centre a flyover Greenshank, a patch tick, and 1+ Common Tern, ten Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, 11 Blackcaps, a Garden Warbler, nine Whitethroats, two Lesser Whitethroats, five Reed Warblers and two Sedge Warblers. Cleeve Hill     At the western edge of the gallops near the two gates a pair of Redstarts, adult and juvenile Stonechat, a Whinchat, a Willow Warbler and three Whitethroats, a Raven and a Buzzard. Butterflies on the common and the Bill Smyllie reserve included many Common Blues, Chalkhill Blue, Small Heath, Brown Argus, Peacock and Small Tortoiseshell. On Pit 126 five Common Terns, 14 Red Crested Pochards, 71 Tufted Ducks, 11 Great Crested Grebes, four Oystercatchers, two Common Sandpipers, a Reed Bunting, a Sedge Warbler and a Raven.
