Hawling     Birds today included two Kestrels, two Buzzards, 50+Red-legged Partridges, 100+ Skylarks, five Fieldfares, 16 +Stock Doves, two Pied Wagtails, 35+Lapwings, 10+ Greenfinches, three Reed Buntings, 130+ Golden Plovers, a Raven, three Bullfinches, a Mistle Thrush, 25+ Chaffinches. Stoke Orchard     A MERLIN and a Sparrowhawk harassing a flock of Starlings, Fieldfares and Redwings today. (Andy Jayne).

Cotswold Water Park West     A Marsh Harrier over Coke’s Pit at 3:30pm. (Dave Soons).

Great Barrington     A HEN HARRIER and two Short-eared Owls in the Barrington area today with lots of Red Kites, Buzzards, Kestrels and a Corn Bunting. (Tom Mabbett).

Bourton-on-the-Water     At Bourton pits c100 Wigeon, 60 Mallards, 25 Tufted Ducks, two Gadwalls, a drake Pintail, a Little Grebe, a Great Crested Grebe, 15 Coots and c30 Canada Geese. (Tom Mabbett).

Symonds Yat     From the viewpoint today the Peregrine pair and another adult Peregrine on the rock face which was allowed to stay for several hours before eventually being chased off, Buzzards, a female Sparrowhawk, a male Bullfinch, Ravens, a Hawfinch, a Marsh Tit, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a male and female Goosander. Coombe Hill Meadows     There is extensive flooding, the circular walk is no longer passable and the floodwater is at calf level on the boardwalk leading to the Grundon hide. Birds today included 300 Greylags, 450 Canada Geese, a Barnacle Goose, five Shelducks, 1065+ Wigeon, three Gadwalls, c800 Teal, 20 Mallards, 80 Pintails, 20 Shovelers, two Tufted Ducks, two Grey Herons, two Lapwings and 20 Long-tailed Tits. Cobney Meadows     There is also extensive flooding between the canal and the River Chelt, just two Mute Swans and 50 Lapwings. (Mike Smart). At Ashleworth Ham the water is quite high (Dirty Lane is impassable, and only two bricks showing on the bridge).

Cotswold Water Park West     At Shorncote Reed Beds between 11am-3pm SU033967 from the pathway before the first hide birds included 42 Fieldfares, seven Redwings, 35 Meadow Pipits, five Stonechats (3m, 2f), nine Pied Wagtails, four Grey Wagtails, 13 Little Egrets, four Grey Herons, a Sparrowhawk, two Buzzards, 40+ Black-headed Gulls and 75 Starlings. On Pit 85b three Water Rails, four Tufted Ducks, a Kingfisher, a Grey Wagtail, two Cetti’s Warblers and a male Reed Bunting. Also a Water Vole on the pathway close to the 85b hide. On Pit 85a three Bullfinches, two Snipe, 23 Mallards, two Cormorants, two Shovelers, male and female Wigeon, two Little Egrets and another Water Rail. (John Fletcher).

Quedgeley     Garden visitors today included two Blackcaps (1m, 1f), 12 Greenfinches (a garden record!), 18 Chaffinches, 25 Goldfinches, up to 14 Blackbirds, a Rook and a Grey Squirrel. (Steve Pullen).

Bussage     Today on the garden feeders birds included numerous Goldfinches, four Siskins, two Lesser Redpolls, two Greenfinches, a Coal Tit, a pair of Blackcaps, a Treecreeper, several Chaffinches and a female Brambling. Mid afternoon seven Redwings and two Fieldfares on Cotoneaster.
