Cotswold Water Park West     At Shorncote this morning a Little Egret, 25 Shovelers, 20 Teal, 70 Wigeon, two Water Rails, a Snipe, a Green Sandpiper, a Grey Wagtail, three Meadow Pipits, 15 Redwings, a Stonechat, four Cetti’s Warblers, two Chiffchaffs, five Bullfinches and a pair of Ravens displaying. Symonds Yat     From the viewpoint today the resident Peregrines and an intruding Peregrine, a female Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, Ravens, a Tawny Owl, a Goldcrest, a Little Grebe, three Wigeon (1m, 2f), two Grey Herons, a Mistle Thrush, a Song Thrush, four Mandarins (2m, 2f), two Stock Doves, a Treecreeper, a Hawfinch, and a Jay. Ashleworth Ham     From GWT hide and Meerend Thicket from 11am-2:45pm birds included 11 Snipe, 65 Lapwings, a Mute Swan, 16 Greylags, three Canada Geese, 60 Teal, 34 Wigeon, two Shelducks, seven Shovelers, nine Pintails, a Gadwall, two Cormorants,102 Black-headed Gulls, two Grey Herons, 35 Chaffinches, 11 Fieldfares, three Redwings, two Nuthatches, a male Stonechat, two Ravens and two Pied Wagtails. Sharpness     In the SARA area today 60+ Wigeon, 23 Cormorants, 12 Moorhens, a Bullfinch, five Little Grebes, a Kingfisher, 16+ Great Black-backed Gulls, a Meadow Pipit, an Oystercatcher, six Mallards and four Pied Wagtails. (Tom Weston-McClung).

Cambridge     This morning a Water Rail near the concrete bridge over the bypass section of the River Cam from Ryalls Lane into Rosies Wood. Present for 2 weeks in the same location at the downstream end of the isolated section of the old river. (Trevor Lewis).

Witcombe Reservoirs     52 Greylags, five Teal, nine Little Grebes, a Great Crested Grebe and c200 Redwings feeding in the farm orchard today. (Gordon Avery).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A pair of Mute Swans with five cygnets two male Shelducks, five Wigeon, 50 Teal, three Shovelers, two Grey Herons, a female Stonechat and c50 Redwings and Fieldfares all feeding on the grass with 20 Starlings. (Mike Smart).

At Whelford pools GWT reserve Pit 111 a Yellow Legged Gull, four Goldeneyes (3m, 1f), five Goosanders (4m, 1f), 34 Teal, 35 Shovelers, 18 Tufted Ducks, four Goldcrests, two Marsh Tits, a male Bullfinch, a male Reed Bunting, nine Long-tailed Tits, two Kingfishers, six Cormorants, three Grey Herons, a Red Kite and a Brambling. Cheltenham     The male Goosander still this morning on Pittville Park Lake until 10:30am today but no sign this afternoon. (John Sanders/Phil Cull).

Cambridge     A garden Hawfinch again today at Ryalls Lane feeding on the ground with Chaffinches below an oak tree in one of the rabbit pens. Also a male Brambling. (Ennis Jones).

Arlingham     In the area birds included c80 Lapwings, a Buzzard, three Grey Herons, c60 Fieldfares and c120 Redwings today. (Antony Seabright).

Tresham     Early afternoon at least 100 Golden Plovers and a Red Kite. (Paul Rich).
