Hawling     17+ Yellowhammers, 470+ Fieldfares, 270+ Starlings, 25+ Blackbirds, 110+ Skylarks, four Buzzards, 75+ Red-legged Partridges, 145+ Linnets, 20+ Redwings, a Bullfinch, two Mistle Thrushes, two Stock Doves, 16+ Goldfinches, a Goldcrest, three Reed Buntings, 130+ Lapwings, 29 Golden Plovers, a Stonechat, three Kestrels, three Red Kites, 30+ Chaffinches, eight Greenfinches and a Grey Heron today. Coombe Hill Meadows     A pair of Mute Swans with four cygnets, 29 Wigeon, 280 Teal, six Mallards, five Shovelers, a Pintail, nine Grey Herons, a Buzzard, two female Stonechats, 40 Fieldfares and 15 Redwings today. (Mike Smart).

Stonehouse     Along the canal a Water Rail, a Kingfisher and a Song Thrush today. (Keith & Lyn Perkins).

Cirencester     A Kingfisher again on the River Churn by Barton Mill this morning. (Jon Mercer).

Quedgeley     A Chiffchaff in Kingsway today. (Matt Williams). The Raven at Tesco’s again at 12:30pm today perched on a light pole near the entrance. (Steve Pullen).

Highnam     In the woods by Highnam YFC pitch a Marsh Tit, a Treecreeper, a Stock Dove and two Goldcrests this morning. (Seb Buckton).

Roel Gate     A female/first winter MERLIN perched at Roel Hill Farm at 2:30pm. (Duncan Dine).

Tewkesbury     A Kingfisher on the Mill Avon behind Wetherspoons this afternoon. Also 25 Fieldfares. (Les Ditchburn).

Arlingham     Along the river a female Stonechat, c11 Great Black-backed Gulls, c80 Lapwing, and two Grey Herons. c5 Little Egrets in a field between Fretherne and Frampton. (Antony Seabright).

Brockworth     This morning ten Redwings and two Fieldfares, the latter a garden first. On 29th Nov three Redwings in the garden were a garden first. (John Miles).

Driffield     Seven Grey Partridges this afternoon at SU072997 on the roadside before flying into the field. Also 2000-3000 Starlings at the piggery E of  Perrott’s Brook, SP0306. (Laurie Pierce).

Ashleworth Ham     This afternoon birds included 80 Teal, 50 Wigeon, three Shovelers (1m, 2f), two Shelducks, three Snipe, a Mute Swan, 78 Canada Geese, two Greylags, 40 Mallards, five Pintails (3m, 2f), 42 Red-legged Partridges, 50 Chaffinches, nine Bramblings, 13 Pied Wagtails, a male Stonechat, a Goldcrest, a Treecreeper, 40 Starlings, a Stock Dove, a Kestrel and two Buzzards. Quedgeley     A garden Kingfisher at 3:40pm, a garden first. (MK). A Raven foraging in the Asda car park in Kingsway yesterday morning and again this morning. (Martin Drew).

Arlingham     Along the river today a male Stonechat, c8 Great Black-backed Gulls, a Cormorant, c5 Lapwings, a Grey Heron and two Golden Plovers. (Antony Seabright).

Cheltenham     Along the River Chelt between Waitrose and Tesco a Little Egret perched in an overhanging tree then flew off S and a Kingfisher flew W along the river. (Keith White).

Ozleworth     800m N of the BT Tower a Brambling feeding on the road with c20 Chaffinches at ST793952, also 25 Lapwings in the adjacent ploughed field. (Vic Polley).

Rodley     At Wilmer this afternoon four Whooper Swans (the family party seen previously at Walmore), 200+ Teal, a Sparrowhawk, a female/immature Merlin, a Snipe and 200 Fieldfares. (Andy Jayne).

Tewkesbury     A Peregrine on the Abbey tower today. (Ian Hull).

Forest of Dean     A Peregrine over Crabtree Hill and a male Goosander on Woorgreens Lake this morning. (Frank Williams).

Cotswold Water Park West     This afternoon at Shorncote Reedbeds two Little Egrets, 14 presumed feral Barnacle Geese, 40 Teal, 30 Wigeon, three Water Rails, 130+ Lapwings, a Green Sandpiper, a Kingfisher, a Grey Wagtail, c70 Fieldfares, c30 Redwings, five Song Thrushes, 50+ Linnets, c20 Reed Buntings, 800+ Rooks and Jackdaws flying W to roost, a murmuration of 5000-10,000 Starlings, a female Sparrowhawk and five Roe Deer. Sharpness     A male Peregrine on the Silo at the Docks at 11:30am today. (Gord & Margaret Avery).

Gloucester     At Port Ham and Castlemeads this evening a Sparrowhawk, two Kestrels, a Water Rail, a Barn Owl, a Cetti’s Warbler, a Chiffchaff, a pair of Stonechats and 50 Reed Buntings coming in to roost. (Andy Jayne). At Horsebere Brook Flood Storage Lake three Mute Swans, a male Wigeon, a Teal, ten Mallards, six Coots, four Moorhens, a Snipe, two Meadow Pipits and 1 or 2 Stonechats. (Mike Smart).

Frampton     A WATER PIPIT and a JACK SNIPE out in open on the flash N of Splatt Bridge, a male Brambling with a Chaffinch flock N of Splatt and a MERLIN over the 100-Acre. (Mark Hobson).

Sharpness     A BLACK REDSTART still briefly at the end of Dock Road before flying to the Shipyard (no access), also two Stonechats. (Paul Taylor).

Tewkesbury     A BLACK REDSTART (not Eastern) seen in previous years is back at Tewkesbury Abbey, first captured by the Peregrine nest camera 21/11/17. (David Bagley). 2 or 3 birds seen yesterday 24th by Pete Stamper. Also a Kingfisher below the Abbey Mill. (Les Ditchburn).

Gloucester     Late morning a SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF in the area of the ‘windmill’ at Castle Meads West, feeding with a nominate race Chiffchaff. Also here 20 Long-tailed Tits, three Goldcrests and a pair Bullfinches. A pair of Stonechats along the old railway track adjacent to the Oxlease public footpath gate. A Buzzard and a female Kestrel on Port Ham and a Little Egret on Port Ham pool. (Gordon Avery).

WWT Slimbridge     A CATTLE EGRET on the causeway at South Lake at 2pm. Also the Red-breasted Goose of unknown origin amongst the feral Barnacle Geese flock from Kingfisher hide. (David Barrett).
