Sharpness     The BLACK REDSTART on the roof of a disused office on the far side of the docks at 1pm. Also two Redwings, 12 Song Thrushes and at least 15 Blackbirds feeding in the grass in front of the houses in Dock Road. Frampton     Around the pools late afternoon the Whooper Swan, the adult Yellow-legged Gulls, a Shelduck, 75 Tufted Ducks, 14 Shovelers, 24 Gadwalls, 300 Coots and three Little Grebes. (Nick Goatman).

Forest of Dean     At Parkend cricket ground in Crown Lane 4+ Hawfinches and a Marsh Tit at Cannop Ponds feeders today. (Derek Hale).

Leckhampton Hill     At Hartley Farm two Bramblings with the Chaffinches, a Stonechat, a few Fieldfares and Redwings and nearby a Bullfinch. (Steve Brown).

Cambridge     A garden Hawfinch again today at Ryalls Lane. (Ennis Jones).

Cheltenham     At Naunton Park a Common Gull on a roof for 15 minutes, a garden tick. (Steve Brown).

Wotton Under Edge     Garden birds today included ten Long-tailed Tits, five Bullfinches, a Coal Tit, a Marsh Tit, a Goldfinch and a Nuthatch. (Paul Rich).

Longlevens     20 Redwings in the garden this afternoon and a male Blackcap, not seen for 2 years. (Elly Rickelton).

Berkeley     Alongside the Little Avon river beside the point-to-point course 80+ Fieldfares, also a Song Thrush and Blackbirds. Several Long-tailed Tits with Blue Tits, two Teal, eight Canada Geese, two Buzzards and a Kestrel alongside Quarry Wood. (Andrew Jones).

Forest of Dean     At Speech House Arboretum car park a female Tawny Owl heard and two Ravens over. At Parkend cricket ground in Crown Lane six Hawfinches. At Cannop Ponds six Mandarins (3m, 3f), five Wigeon, 15 Tufted Ducks and c20 Siskins. At New Fancy View two Siskins, a male Bullfinch and a Buzzard. (Derek Hale).

Cambridge     Two garden Hawfinches again at Ryalls Lane, today. Also of note, a male Brambling, a female Kingfisher fishing successfully, two male and two female Blackcaps,  a Water Rail and c30 Fieldfares feeding on fallen Perry pears. (Ennis Jones).

Frampton pools     A male Pintail and a Shelduck on Court Lake. Also around the pools 89 Tufted Ducks, 62 Gadwalls ,three Wigeon, five Shovelers, 37 Teal, eight Great Crested Grebe, a Little Grebe, 24 Mallards, 208 Coots, two Kingfishers, a Grey Wagtail and the adult Yellow-legged Gull still. Naunton     Birds today included four Bullfinches, 15+ Blackbirds, 80+ Fieldfares and Redwings, 10+ Chaffinches, two Goldfinches, male and female Sparrowhawks, two Red Kites, a Goldcrest, a Nuthatch, 20+ Blue Tits, six Coal Tits and two Willow Tits. (Phil Steele).

Symonds Yat     From the viewpoint today the Peregrine pair, a Goshawk, Buzzards, four Ravens, a Jay, a male and female Goosander, two Greenfinches, a male and female Bullfinch, a Grey Heron, a Goldcrest and Long-tailed Tits. Also four Fallow Deer and a Bank Vole. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Arlingham     In the area c250 Lapwings, a Grey Heron, six Cormorants, four Great Black-backed Gulls, a Buzzard, a Kestrel and c36 Redwings today. (Antony Seabright).

Leigh Meadows     Four Mute Swans, two Canada Geese, 14 Mallards, four Teal, a Grey Heron, a Snipe, two Green Sandpipers and two Ravens. (Mike Smart).

Gloucester     Belated news of two Swallows over Gloucester Quays at 3:30pm on the 2nd December. (Chris Slade).

Sharpness     A female/immature BLACK REDSTART in the hedgerow near the car park at the end of Dock Road today. (Alan Baxter).

Stroud     A Kingfisher on the Stroudwater canal where the river Painswick flows into it (just along from Lodgemore Lane, behind WSP textiles). Present for 3 weeks. (Glenn Lander).

Hawling     Late afternoon until dark birds included four Kestrels, a Buzzard, four Red Kites, a Stonechat, 200+ Linnets, four Greenfinches, three Chaffinches, two Goldfinches, a Fieldfare, 173 Lapwings, 150 Golden Plovers, 500+ Jackdaws and a Grey Heron over. (John Fletcher/Martin Greenish).

Wilmer Common    Three Whooper Swans (1 ad, 2 cygs), a Mute Swan, seven Shelducks, 80 Wigeon, 580 Teal, 20 Mallards, 14 Shovelers, a Sparrowhawk, 15 Pied Wagtails and a male Stonechat today. At Longney Sands (upstream of Blueboys Farm) 84 Canada Geese, eight Shelducks, 28 Mallards, two Grey Herons, 70 Lapwings, a Snipe and three Stonechats in reeds along river bank. Wilmer Common is the little marsh at Rodley W of Walmore, along the stream W of Boxbush Farm. (Mike Smart).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon birds included 90 Wigeon, 70 Teal, 13 Pintails, five Shelducks, five Mute Swans, 25 Mallards, five Grey Herons, five Cormorants over, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, five Bullfinches, male and female Stonechat, two Pied Wagtails, five Stock Doves, 27 Fieldfares and two Great Spotted Woodpeckers. Ashleworth Ham     This morning birds included four Canada Geese, four Lapwings, a Mute Swan, four Snipe, a Firecrest, a Nuthatch, two Grey Heron, three Shovelers (2m, 1f), six Pintails and 100+ Teal. Near Tirley a Buzzard. (Martin Russell).
