Frampton     A SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF still in the SW corner of the Sailing Lake today at 9:30am, calling and gave a short burst of song. (Gordon Kirk).

WWT Slimbridge     A BITTERN seen from Zeiss Hide flying toward South Finger today. (Terry Grant).

Cirencester     A Little Egret on the River Churn next to Tesco Extra at 12:45pm. (Malcolm Carruthers).

Fretherne     A Rock Pipit, 12 Meadow Pipits, seven Curlews, a Reed Bunting and 14 Golden Plovers at Hock Ditch this morning. (Martin Greenish).

Symonds Yat    From the viewpoint today the Peregrine pair, a Sparrowhawk, two Buzzards, Ravens, Redwings, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Song Thrushes and three Mandarins (2m, 1f). (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Lower Slaughter    A Raven overhead and a Tawny Owl calling from the woods in Lower Slaughter. (Ben Hilder).

Cranham     c30 Chaffinches including at least two male Bramblings feeding on beech mast between Cranham and Birdlip early afternoon at SO9157613195. (Michael Cook).

Stonehouse     30+Long-tailed Tits including two Coal Tits and 10+ Blue Tits working the shrubbery at the entrance to Javelin Park SO8020410544 at 8:15am. Also a Curlew in a field off Standish Lane at 8:03am at SO7993708580. (Michael Cook).

Frampton      The BITTERN showed well again this afternoon in the reedbed on Court Lake. Coombe Hill Meadows    Two Mute Swans, 365 Greylags, 75 Canada Geese,  175 Wigeon, 340 Teal, two Mallard, a Pintail, four Shovelers, two Grey Herons, three Snipe, eight Pied Wagtails,  five Meadow Pipits, 35 Fieldfares and 15 Redwings today. (Les Brown/Mike Smart).

Forest of Dean     The GREAT GREY SHRIKE was first seen at 3pm at Russell’s Inclosure but hadn’t been around all morning. Also a Red Kite flew over at 3pm heading NW. (Angela Carswell). At Cannop Ponds the Gadwall still feeding amongst the Mallards, Coots, Moorhens and Little Grebes. Also c50 Siskins, two Grey Wagtails, a Treecreeper, two Ravens and a Cormorant.
