Saul Warth     Early morning two Whinchats, a Nuthatch, rarely seen here, three Common Cranes flew N past Frampton church, four Little Egrets, 41 Curlews, a Ringed Plover, four Dunlins, two Kestrels, a Lesser Whitethroat, ten Chiffchaffs, a Yellow Wagtail heard and five Pied Wagtails, 86 Goldfinches and a Southern Hawker. Elmore Court     In the rewilding area at lunchtime today, on the scrape a juvenile Little Ringed Plover, a Greenshank, two Snipe, 4+ Green Sandpipers, 12 Lapwings, a Great White Egret, three Little Egrets, four Grey Herons, two Whinchats and a Stonechat. (Steve Pullen).

Edge     Around Rudge Hill NNR this afternoon seven Long-tailed Tits, six Chiffchaffs, a Goldcrest, a Buzzard and a Kestrel. (John Fletcher).

Ashleworth Ham      Ringing session caught 27 birds including a Lesser Whitethroat, a Whitethroat, a Willow Warbler, six Chiffchaffs, six Long-tailed Tits, two Treecreepers, two Bullfinches and two Reed Buntings. Bibury     An OSPREY at Ready Token at SP 09888 04953 today N of the Welsh Way. (Keith Jennings).

Saul Warth     Early morning a Snipe, 81+ Curlews, two Little Egrets, two Kestrels, seven Chiffchaffs, three Blackcaps, a Lesser Whitethroat, nine Pied Wagtails, 22 Swallows and a Stoat. A Hobby flew N at Fretherne Bridge at 9:10am. (MK).

Ozleworth     This morning seven Buzzards, c70 House Martins at St John of Myra church and a Raven calling. (Paul Sutton).

Coombe Hill Meadows     At lunchtime a Kestrel, a Sparrowhawk, a Red Kite, a Great White Egret, a Little Egret, a Bullfinch, a Kingfisher, two Redstarts, 4+ Chiffchaffs and 7+ Linnets. (Paul Clark).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding area at lunchtime today, 4+ Whinchats with 3+ Stonechats flycatching next to the scrape. On the scrape a Great White Egret, three Little Egrets, two Grey Herons, a Lapwing and three Green Sandpipers, also a Kestrel, a Sparrowhawk and five Buzzards. (Steve Pullen).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge this morning a Hobby over the flashes. On the sailing lake the adult Yellow-legged Gull. (Steve Pullen). Later N of Splatt Bridge a Little Egret and a juvenile Peregrine high over heading towards the Green. It hit a crow but couldn’t hang on to it. A Red Kite over the Perryway heading over the trees at Court Lake late afternoon. (Paul Sutton). From Splatt Bridge, a Hobby was hunting over the 100-Acre and a Peregrine was harassing a Black-headed Gull. Two Yellow Wagtails bathing on the edge of the Sailing Lake this afternoon, and a few Banded Demoiselles. (Terry Grant).

Framilode Passage     A flock of 11 Greenshanks flew down river at 3:05pm. (Terry Grant). They flew over Berkeley at 3:45pm, a garden tick. (Oliver Paisey). Then they flew low SW over Aust Services (Matt Hall) and then SW over Severn Beach at 4:08pm.

Framilode/Epney     Seven species of gull in mobile flocks, including a Yellow-legged Gull and two Mediterranean Gulls. (Terry Grant).

WWT Slimbridge     Two male Garganeys from Martin Smith hide and a female on the Rushy. Three Mandarins on Decoy pool. (Magnus Carter).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge early this morning, a juvenile Goshawk flew S along the canal, a Marsh Harrier, two Kestrels, four Little Egrets, two Kingfishers, six Yellow Wagtails over and two Grey Wagtails. Also 12 Pied Wagtails on the green by the Bell Inn. (Steve Pullen).

Saul Warth     Early morning a Kingfisher along the river bank was unusual and two more Kingfishers on Saul Lodge pond. Also a Greenshank flew high N, 85+ Curlews, three Little Egrets, 22 Shelducks, 40+ Goldfinches, 5+ Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, 50+ Swallows and two House Martins. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     The leucistic Marsh Harrier, the SPOONBILL, the Pink-footed Goose of unknown origin and the Ross’s Goose about the grounds today. A BITTERN flew into Island reed bed from Zeiss hide at 10am. On the Rushy a Garganey, two Greenshanks and two Spotted Redshanks. WWT Slimbridge     The leucistic Marsh Harrier around the grounds again today also two juvenile Marsh Harriers. Two Garganeys on the Rushy and two Garganeys from Zeiss hide, probably different. The Pink-footed Goose with the Canada Goose flock on the Top New Piece. The SPOONBILL around the grounds again. From Middle Point 12 Little Egrets, four Grey Herons, two Greenshanks and two Kestrels. Also a Peregrine and the Ross’s Goose. From Kingfisher hide 22 Gadwalls and a pair of Common Cranes with a juvenile. WWT Slimbridge     The stunning leucistic Marsh Harrier seen at several places around the grounds today. On the Rushy Rushy two Greenshank, two Spotted Redshanks and two Snipe. Saul Warth     Between 8-11am 11 Black-tailed Godwits, four Ringed Plovers, a Dunlin, 12 Avocets, a Whimbrel, 100+ Curlews, a Redshank, 135 Shelducks and five Little Egrets. Also the leucistic Marsh Harrier with a dark juvenile Marsh Harrier but not close, ranging as far as the fields at Awre, two Kestrels, four Buzzards, five Lesser Whitethroats and a Migrant Hawker. Nailsworth area     This afternoon a HONEY BUZZARD flew W over the A46 at 2:55pm heading for the Kingscote area. Also two Red Kites, two Kestrels, a Hobby, six Buzzards and three Whitethroats. 230+ House Martins flew S between 6:40am and 6:50am. (Terry Grant).

Lydney New Grounds & Aylburton Warth     Three Oystercatchers, a Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, a Redshank, eight Grey Herons, a Little Egret, two Kestrels, a Peregrine, a Kingfisher, four Sand Martins, a Stonechat, a Whinchat, four Wheatears, eight Yellow Wagtails and two Reed Buntings today. WWT Slimbridge     A leucistic Marsh Harrier flew in from the Frampton direction and flew across just beyond the hedge line on the W side of the Rushy heading SW at 1:30pm, seen from the Rushy. Possibly one of the Otmoor birds. (Andrew Bluett). This bird was also seen on the Monday Safari. (Roberta Goodall). From Middle Point on the rising tid30+ Curlews, 60+ Ringed Plovers, 20+ Dunlins, a Turnstone, a Redshank, a Greenshank, five Little Egrets, five Grey Herons and two Common Sandpipers. Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning two Red Kites, two Buzzards, two Great White Egrets, nine Little Egrets, 4+ Grey Herons, 8+ Linnets, one feeding a juvenile, 20+ Teal and two Kingfishers. Dragonflies included three male Southern Migrant Hawkers and two Brown Hawkers. (Paul Clark/Les Ditchburn). A male Willow Emerald on the canal today. (Nick Hughes).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge this morning, a Whimbrel heard, a Marsh Harrier, a Kingfisher and a Great Crested Grebe on the canal, and 200+ Starlings left the reedbed at 6:15am. At the Sailing lake, a Tree Pipit with five Yellow Wagtails and the adult Yellow-legged Gull. (Steve Pullen).

Saul Warth     At high tide 19 Avocets, 92 Curlews, a Whimbrel, two Greenshanks, a Redshank, 135 Shelducks, five Little Egrets, a Kestrel, 25 Swallows and a Yellow Wagtail heard. In the hedges a juvenile Spotted Flycatcher, 1+ Lesser Whitethroats, two Chiffchaffs and four Blackcaps. Six Mandarins flew N up the canal. (MK).

Frampton     At the sailing lake early morning 500+ hirundines mostly Sand Martins with smaller numbers of House Martins and Swallows. Also 3+ Willow Warblers, 15 Linnets, two Cetti’s Warblers and two Jays. (Steve Pullen). Later around the pools 18 Mistle Thrushes, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Swift, three Spotted Flycatchers, six Yellow Wagtails, a Willow Warbler, 21 Chiffchaffs, 17 Blackcaps, 100+ Sand Martins, 20+ House Martins, 10+ Swallows, 100+ Starlings, 55 Greylags, 14 Barnacle Geese and 17 Gadwalls.
