Walmore Common A Hobby, a Peregrine and a Red Kite soaring together today. Also a Wheatear, two Yellow Wagtails and a Tree Pipit heard overhead. (Andy Jayne).
Saul Warth Early morning 120 Curlews, a Black-tailed Godwit, 11 Avocets, 120 Dunlins, 100 Ringed Plovers, three Little Egrets, five Grey Herons, the escaped Greater Flamingo, two Lesser Whitethroats, four Whitethroats, three Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs, 31 Swallows, a juvenile Green Woodpecker, a Rock Pipit and two Yellow Wagtails. Coombe Hill Meadows This morning two Red Kites, 4+ Buzzards, a Kestrel, two Ravens, two Whitethroats, 6+ Chiffchaffs, a Redstart and a Green Woodpecker. Lots of Green-veined Whites and Clouded Yellow butterflies, a Brown Hawker, three Southern Migrant Hawkers and 10+ Migrant Hawkers. (Paul Clark). Also a Spotted Flycatcher today. (Ian Hull).
Minchinhampton At Hampton Fields this morning birds included 40+ Common Gulls, ten Red-legged Partridges, 50+ Pheasants, four Ravens, 30 Canada Geese and 15+ Stock Doves all down in the stubble. Also two Corn Buntings, five Yellowhammers, a Sparrowhawk and a Weasel. (Steve Pullen).
