Eastington/Stonehouse     On the Stroudwater Canal at Bond’s Mill two Mallards, a Kingfisher, a Moorhen with three young and a Buzzard mobbed by gulls. At The Ocean two Mute Swans with three cygnets, 15 Mallards, three Coots, a Moorhen and a Grey Heron. At Boakes Drive alongside the canal 42 Long-tailed Tits moving along the canal side trees. Twyning     At Upham Meadow, at least eight adult Curlews, three of them birds ringed earlier this summer and a brood of three freshly-hatched chicks, a Grey Heron, a Common Tern, 10+ House Martins and a Corn Bunting singing. (Mike Smart).
