Priding-Broadoak     Along the Severn Way, a Peregrine, two Kestrels, three Buzzards, an Oystercatcher, 8+ Lapwings, a Cuckoo calling, two Cetti’s Warblers, six Reed Warblers, two male Reed Buntings, a Raven and 17 Long-tailed Tits. Also 30+ Small Tortoiseshells, a Green-veined White, 6+ Painted Ladies, four Emperor dragonflies and a few Azure Damselflies. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     The Barn Owl again from Kingfisher hide this morning going for hunts from the nest box. A male Kingfisher visiting the bank and  Sedge Warblers and Reed Warblers. (Mike Davis).

WWT Slimbridge     An OSPREY flew over South Lake at 12:25pm heading N. (Ian Hull). Also today from Middle Point three Grey Plovers, three Whimbrels and three immature SPOONBILLS. (Paul Masters).

Broadoak     An OSPREY. presumed the same, reported taking a fish at 5pm and then settling on the sands to eat it, harassed by gulls and corvids. (per Andy Jayne).

Frampton     On Court Lake a late Common Sandpiper, a Common Tern, six Great Crested Grebes and the Black Swan. A Kingfisher, a Cuckoo and a Whitethroat taking food into a nest at Splatt Bridge. (Paul Sutton).

Chavenage Lane area     A food-carrying Barn Owl, hunting during the afternoon, five Corn Buntings and three pairs of Whitethroats feeding young. (Terry Grant).

Saul Warth     This afternoon a pair of Avocets, 11 Oystercatchers, two Curlews, a pair of Shelducks with nine ducklings, four Grey Herons, a Little Egret, a Grey Wagtail and a Whitethroat. (MK).

Coombe Hill Meadows    Two Dunlins, four Redshanks, two Little Ringed Plovers, a Little Egret, two Avocets with four chicks, a pair of  Yellow Wagtails, a Garden Warbler and Cuckoo, Sedge Warbler, Reed Bunting, Whitethroat and Swallow. Additionally this evening two Mute Swans with seven cygnets, 22 Canada Geese in to roost, three Shelducks, 50 Mallards, two male Shovelers, three Tufted Ducks, a Great White Egret (with red ring on left leg reading AAR up in white letters), two Grey Herons, c6 Lapwings with at least three chicks, a pair of Oystercatchers with one chick, a summer plumage Dunlin, 11 Curlews came in to roost, three with colour rings and 4+ Redshanks. Tewkesbury     On Severn Ham two Mute Swans by Abbey Mill with two cygnets, 40 Mallard (Mill Avon), a Peregrine hunting, later perching on the Abbey tower, a Curlew, ten House Martins collecting mud for nests, 10+ singing Skylarks, a female Yellow Wagtail, a Reed Warbler, a Sedge Warbler, three Blackcaps, at least ten Starlings in a flock including fledged young and at least six male Reed Buntings. WWT Slimbridge     From Middle Point waders included a breeding plumage Curlew Sandpiper, 48 Sanderlings, 97 Ringed Plovers, three Whimbrels, 64 Dunlins, three Grey Plovers and three immature SPOONBILLS. A Barn Owl hunting the Top New Piece and the Dumbles this morning. At least two Cattle Egrets on the Top New Piece and a Great White Egret to the N. Frampton pools     Two adult Mediterranean Gulls, a Common Sandpiper, two Oystercatchers, six Common Terns, 70+ Swifts, 100+ Sand Martins, 20+ Swallows, 20+ House Martins, two Cuckoos, six Cetti’s Warblers, eight Reed Warblers, three Whitethroats, 19 Blackcaps, ten Chiffchaffs and a male Mandarin. Saul Warth     At high tide at midday a pair of Avocets briefly, 14 Oystercatchers, three Curlews, two pairs of Shelducks with 8 and 9 ducklings, a Little Egret, two Red Kites, a Kestrel, 50+ House Martins, 6+ Swallows, two Sand Martins and adult and juvenile Whitethroat. (MK).

Epney    A Red Kite at 11:10am heading towards Longney from Epney following the road. (MK).

Ryeford     Along the River Frome two Kingfishers, two Mute Swans with six cygnets, five Chiffchaffs, including an adult feeding four juveniles and a Goldcrest. (Steve Pullen).

Edge     At Rudge Hill nature reserve 10+ Linnets, five Willow Warblers, four Meadow Pipits, a Tree Pipit, two Whitethroats, two Green Woodpeckers and a Great Spotted Woodpecker and many families of recently fledged Blue, Great and Long-tailed Tits. (Steve Pullen).

WWT Slimbridge     Three SPOONBILLS flew in from the S on the high tide. One dropped in to the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide, two carried on N. (Helen Bojaniwska). 

Stonehouse     This morning a Dipper near Ryeford bridge. At Stanley Downton a pair of Willow Warblers feeding young, a distant Cuckoo heard, six Barnacle Geese over and a Buzzard. (Paul Sutton).

Forest of Dean     Today two Red Kites, two Buzzards and c20 Carrion Crows all on two fields being cut for hay, also nearby a singing Skylark and a Yellowhammer. (Alan Waterman).

Gloucester    Between 12:15-1pm, a Peregrine pair circling over the tower block and hospital grounds. (Nikki Smith). A Red Kite over Llantony weir at 1:35pm then drifted slowly over to towards Alney Island. (Gordon Avery).

Cleeve Hill     From Agg’s Hill along the Cotswold Way to the Bill Smyllie Reserve and Prestbury Hill/Masts reserve a Cuckoo, a Garden Warbler singing, a male Redstart singing, two pairs of Yellowhammers, 4+ singing Tree Pipits, several Whitethroats, a Willow Warbler and a Chiffchaff, Stonechat feeding young and several Swifts over. Also a good variety of butterflies including Small Blue, Common Blue, Small Heath, Dingy Skipper, Green Hairstreak, Adonis Blue, Duke of Burgundy, Wall, Brimstone and Speckled Wood. (Rob Crofton).

At Hayles Camp site and the surrounding area, including the two small lakes 30 Greylags (11 adults, 19 goslings), seven Canada Geese (3 adults, 4 goslings), six Mallards, a Moorhen, eight Blackcaps, six Chiffchaffs, 12+ Wrens, a Grey Wagtail, a Pied Wagtail, four Swallows, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Song Thrushes, a Buzzard, a Sparrowhawk and two Raven. It should be audible from the towpath, especially the towpath on the southern bank of the canal. (Mike Smart). This morning a pair of Oystercatchers with three young on Court Lake middle island, a Great Crested Grebe with young on her back, two juvenile Grey Wagtails and a juvenile Pied Wagtail. Ebley    A Red Kite seen from Doverow Hill, over Ryeford to Selsley church then towards Sainsburys getting very high, at 10:15am. Also three Buzzards joined it. A Hobby circled high over Ryeford then direct across Selsley Common. (Paul Sutton).
