Longney     This afternoon in the old orchards and along the Severn Way birds included 61 Linnets, five Meadow Pipits, two Skylarks, 13 Chiffchaffs, two Song Thrushes, two Chaffinches, two Green Woodpeckers, 116 Lesser Black-backed Gulls in a ploughed field, a Buzzard, nine Jackdaws and two Ravens. Also at Crabtree Hill today eight Crossbills, 12 Lesser Redpolls, two Willow Warblers and three pairs of Stonechats. At Nagshead a Red Kite over and a Stock Dove. Cheltenham     At The Park a drake Mandarin, two Nuthatches and five Greylags today. (Eric Harris).

Minsterworth Ham     This afternoon three Curlews, a Green Sandpiper and five Linnets and in a grass field being ploughed up, several hundred Black-headed Gulls and at least 20 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. (Mike Smart).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF along the S edge of the Long Pool withy bed 20m W of the flowering Willow bush foraging in the Reed Canary-grass along the edge of the drain. Also the Ruff still present, a Redwing and small passage of Fieldfares N mid morning. (Ian Ralphs).

Frampton     A Greenshank over the pools heading towards the 100-Acre early morning. (Nick Goatman). At the Sailing Lake at 8:30am an immature LITTLE GULL joined by an adult by 10am, 70+ Black-headed Gulls, 100 Sand Martins, two Swallows, a Willow Warbler and 15 Pied Wagtails. Maisemore     26 Yellowhammers feeding in a newly turned field at Maisemore half a mile upstream from the weir. Also five Long-tailed Tits, a Mistle Thrush, a Song Thrush, a Green Woodpecker, three Red-legged Partridges, three Chiffchaffs, five Chaffinches, two Ravens, three Tufted Ducks, nine Mallards, two Coots, five Moorhens and two Mute Swans. Oldfields near Ludstock    This male Sparrowhawk spent most of this afternoon in the garden trying and failing to catch finches. Six Greenfinches and 18 Goldfinches on the birdfeeders. The garden is just in Gloucestershire. (Eden Tanner).

Forest of Dean     At Brookend a Red Kite gliding towards Lydney at 4:30pm above the lane to Woolaston Station (as was). (Ian Gorton).

Cheltenham    At Pittville Park, Long-tailed Tit and Nuthatch nest building, a Great Crested Grebe on a nest, a Treecreeper, two Grey Herons, a few Coots, Moorhens, Mallards on the water and a noisy Brambling giving itself away high in an oak. (Tom Mabbett).
