A Redstart just N of Hawling on the bridleway track. At least 11 singing Yellowhammers between the Hawling triangle and Roel Gate. A Barn Owl at 7:40pm just N of Roel Hill Farm and another hunting around SP055222 from 9pm. (Pete and Marjo Lewis).

Prestbury     At Prestbury Hill reserve male and female Redstart, three Buzzards, two Yellowhammers and 5+ Linnets. (Dave Collins).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening three Mute Swans, two Canada Geese with two goslings, at least two female Mallards with ducklings, three Gadwalls, two adult Oystercatchers with three chicks still, 42 Lapwings, four adult Redshanks, at least two nearly full grown chicks seen, six Curlews came to roost, a Cuckoo calling and five Swifts. Cheltenham     A family of five Jays in yew trees in Pittville Circus Road this morning, two adults and three full grown juveniles. (Clare McNulty).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon a Common Crane high overhead at 2pm, five Curlews, four Oystercatchers, 15+ Lapwings, three Little Egrets, five Grey Herons, four Willow Warblers and good numbers of Skylark, Whitethroats and Reed Buntings. (Steve Pullen).

Forest of Dean     At Crabtree Hill a Wood Warbler singing near Kensley Lodge, seven Crossbills over, two pairs of Stonechat, one with fledged young and the other feeding and a colour ringed Tree Pipit. At Nagshead a pair of Redstarts feeding young and several Pied Flycatchers, including a pair with two young just out of the nest. (Terry Grant). Cam Long Down     This afternoon c40 Swifts hawking for insects, a Whitethroat, Chiffchaffs, a Green Woodpecker and a Song Thrush. Several Painted Ladies, also Common Blue, Small Heath and Meadow Brown butterflies and a male Emperor Dragonfly, a few Silver-Y moths and a Flame Carpet moth.
