Birds included a pair of Redshanks with four chicks, a pair of Oystercatchers, c6 Lapwings, two Curlews, a Little Egret, three Tufted Ducks, three Gadwalls, a Cuckoo, at least six Reed Buntings (including one with partial ring number 7426) and a singing Yellowhammer. Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning birds included six Mute Swans, a Canada Goose, two pairs of Shelducks, a pair of Teal, four Gadwalls, a pair of Tufted Ducks, two Little Egrets, a Grey Heron, a pair of Oystercatchers with three chicks, 10+ Lapwings, including three females with smallish young, a pair of Redshanks with at least two young, two Curlews, a Cuckoo, at least three singing Reed Warblers and singing Sedge Warblers, Whitethroats, Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs and Reed Buntings and a singing Yellowhammer. Brimstone and Holly Blue butterflies, Silver Y moths, Four-spotted Chaser, Emperor and Black-tailed Skimmer dragonflies and Azure, Common Blue and Blue-tailed damselflies.
From the hide 14 Greylags, two Canada Geese, two Mute Swans, a Shelduck, several Lapwings and a Redshank heard. (Keith White).
