Frampton     A GREAT WHITE EGRET with two Little Egrets and a Grey Heron on the flashes N of Splatt Bridge early morning. Later probably the same bird was at WWT. (Gordon Hodgson). This evening a Peregrine attacking a Buzzard, three Curlews and a Whimbrel. (Jeremy Squire). At the pools a male Whinchat, a juvenile Goshawk through SW, 200+ Sand Martins, 50+ Swallows, a Yellowhammer, 42+ Tufted Ducks and a pair of displaying Great Crested Grebes. (MK). Later c2800 Sand Martins from 11am until 2:43pm when they all disappeared in small lines and a couple of large fronts to the N. Another c1300 Sand Martins came in at 2:55pm in small groups.  When the first group left there were only House Martins and Swallows left. A Hobby flew N at 2:34pm and also two male Yellow Wagtails in flight at different times. Coombe Hill Meadows     About ten Canada Geese, at least 15 Shelducks, at least 50 Teal, five Gadwalls, a male GARGANEY, still 30 Shovelers, two Pochards, 15 Tufted Ducks, still at least three Great Crested Grebes, a Little Grebe whinnying, c13 Little Egrets, three Oystercatchers, c12 Lapwings, at least two Redshanks, 46 Black-tailed Godwits, five Whimbrels and two Curlews, two Swifts, c5 Swallows, two Yellow Wagtails, c9 Sedge Warblers, two Lesser Whitethroats, a Whitethroat, two Willow Warblers and two Chiffchaffs. Also a male and a female Roe Deer. (Mike Smart).

Gloucester     At Alney Island, a Cuckoo in the riverside willows, a Sedge Warbler, five Blackcaps, three Chiffchaffs, two Grey Herons, two Greylags, a Raven and a Buzzard. (Mark Grieve).

Witcombe Reservoirs     40+ Swallows, 15+ House Martins, 7+ Sand Martins, three Blackcaps, three Chiffchaffs, a Stock Dove, two Great Crested Grebes, a Little Grebe, ten Tufted Ducks, a Buzzard and a Red Kite today. (Mark Grieve).

Highnam Woods     Two singing Nightingales at 7:30am. (Martin Greenish).

Quedgeley     Along the canal path from Clearwater Drive to Sellers Bridge included three Lesser Whitethroats, three Linnets, six Red-legged Partridge, a Kestrel, a Stock Dove, three Green Woodpeckers, six Chiffchaffs, four Blackcaps and a Raven. (Steve Pullen).
