Frampton     A Woodcock, three Snipe, three male Goldeneyes, one on Court Lake and two on the Sailing Lake, eight Brambings, 14 Reed Buntings, eight Yellowhammers, a male Red Crested Pochard, a male Mandarin, 35 Shovelers, 126 Tufted Ducks, 36 Gadwalls, four Pochards and a Red Kite over the Sailing Lake this morning. Huntley     A Hawfinch in a silver birch at the western end of Huntley Golf Course at 11:35am. Large numbers of Fieldfares in and around the village all day. (Martin Drew).

Cheltenham     A Hawfinch in a garden on the Old Bath Road, also Fieldfares, Redwings and two Song Thrushes. (Nicola Ellis). A Red Kite low over the centre of Cheltenham being mobbed at 9:05am. Also three Little Egrets in central Cheltenham in the watercourse adjacent to Honeybourne Way opposite DW Sports at 3:25pm. (Mark Dowie).

Forest of Dean     At Sling, Coleford garden birds included 70+ Fieldfares, a Mistle Thrush, a Redwing, 8+ Blackbirds, a Song Thrush, two Pied Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail, 12+ House Sparrows, six Siskins, 20+ Goldfinches, two Greenfinches, male and female Bullfinch, 10+ Chaffinches, male and female Bramblings, a Coal Tit and two Long-tailed Tits. May Hill     Four Crossbill flew over the top of May Hill this afternoon. (Rob Guest).

Frampton     A Woodcock flew down Frampton Green late morning. (Gordon Hodgson).

Stroud     Five Hawfinches briefly in the Churchyard off Horns Road/Bisley Road this afternoon. (Francis Steuck). At Frome Banks two Dippers, a Grey Wagtail, two Mistle Thrushes and many Redwings today. (Simon Ashley).

Gloucester     A Little Egret in a tree beside the bypass opposite Plock Court at 5:30pm today. (Ken Hurcombe).

Kingswood     A garden Stonechat this morning. (Iain Green). Two Dippers, two Redwings and three Bullfinches on the Little Avon by Vinyard Lane. A Grey Wagtail in Wotton Road by the Tubbs building and two Little Owls in barns behind Kingswood House. (Tom McCarthy).

Halmore     100-150 Fieldfares in the lanes between Halmore and Berkeley in the heavy snow today, plus a scattering of Redwings. Garden birds included a Song Thrush, a Wren, a Coal Tit, two Long-Tailed Tits, 5-6 Chaffinches and four Goldfinches. This afternoon a Little Egret landed on a neighbour’s window sill before flying off towards Purton. Also a Woodcock flushed in the neighbour’s garden. Charlton Kings     A garden Fieldfare today, a garden first. (Martin Clifford).

Berkeley     Garden birds today included 11 Fieldfares, eight Redwings, 19 Starlings, 13 Blackbirds, 26 House Sparrows and a Pied Wagtail. (Paddy Doyle).

Nailsworth     At Forest Green in the garden 63 Fieldfares, 22 Redwings and three Blackcaps (2m, 1f). (Keith & Lyn Perkins).

WWT Slimbridge     From the Holden Tower three DARK-BELLIED BRENT GEESE, a Red-breasted Goose, a Canada Goose, 54 White-fronted Geese and 223 Barnacle Geese all sitting out a blizzard on the Dumbles this morning. No sign of the Brents this afternoon but 85 Bewick’s Swans still. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Hempsted     A Green Sandpiper by the Rowing Club and another Sandpiper sp by Netheridge swing bridge at lunchtime. (Mark Hobson).

Ashleworth Ham     This morning, water levels way down, but almost completely iced over ducks huddled together, concentrated round one small hole in the ice, and included two Canada Geese, c600 Wigeon, 320 Teal, a Gadwall, a Mallard, 40 Pintails, five Shovelers, 45 Coots, a Moorhen and a Snipe. (Mike Smart).

Kingswood     A Little Egret on the Little Avon by the bridge on the junction of Wotton Road and Vinyard Lane and a Little Owl in a barn behind Kingswood House. (Thomas McCarthy).

Highnam      In the garden 50+ Fieldfares feeding during day with a evening roost of 150+ Fieldfares in a Leylandii hedge and ivy clad hawthorns. Also a Redwing, a pair of Greenfinches, a Green Woodpecker, two Wrens roosting in a tit box and nine Blackbirds. (Karen & David Nicholls).

Nailsworth     At least four Bramblings, 15+ Bullfinches and a Blackcap in the garden. (Terry Grant).

Amberley     At Theescombe Lane, garden birds today included a male Blackcap, a female Siskin, a male Bullfinch, a Redwing, a Song Thrush and two Fieldfares. (Phil Williams).

Berkeley     Two garden firsts today, a male Chaffinch and a Fieldfare. (Paddy Doyle).

Tuffley     A Redwing, a garden first and two male Blackcaps today. (Ian Elphick).

Hucclecote     Garden birds today included male and female Blackcap, four Fieldfares, two Redwings, c40 Starlings, seven Goldfinches and two drake Mallards. (Harold Smith).

WWT Slimbridge     The GLAUCOUS GULL on the estuary again today viewed from Holden Tower. Also a Goshawk sat on a post then flew S towards Zeiss hide. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Cranham     13 Bramblings (5m, 8f) amongst 20+ Chaffinches in the top of an Ash Tree this afternoon. Nearby four Ravens in a field adjacent to Fostons Ash Inn. (Mike Cook).

Kingscote     A Red Kite along the A4135 E of Hunters Hall at 1:30pm. (Paul Sutton).

Winchcombe     In Langley Road a mixed flock of 50 Redwings and Fieldfares and eight Lapwings with a Red Kite and Raven overhead. (Stuart Galey).

Saul Warth     A first winter ICELAND GULL at 3:40pm. It flew off at about 3:55pm. (Terry Grant).

Cotswold Water Park West     A BITTERN at Shorncote Reedbed today. Also three Water Rails, a Sparrowhawk, a Snipe, a Grey Wagtail, a Chiffchaff and a leucistic Magpie. (Clive Scarlett). The drake RING-NECKED DUCK still on Pit 16 today. (Terry Grant).

Frampton pools     On Court Lake a pair of Red Crested Pochards, a pair of Oystercatchers and 14 Little Egrets today. (Nick Goatman).

Colesbourne     A Hawfinch at Colesbourne Park gate on the A435 at 9:15am. Please don’t park on the main road due to a dangerous bend here. (Roy Shilham).

Wotton-Under-Edge     A garden Hawfinch on and off all day. Also a Coal Tit and two Bullfinches. (Morag Hughes).

Quedgeley     A garden Hawfinch today, almost certainly one of the Fishers Meadow birds. (Paul Masters).

Woodchester Park     12 nests in the heronry (Grey Herons), with at least six birds seen to be sitting. Also three Marsh Tits. (Terry Grant).

Ashleworth Ham     This afternoon birds included 600+ Wigeon, 400+ Teal, 60 Pintails, 50 Shovelers, four Gadwall, male and female Tufted Ducks, 14 Shelducks, nine Snipe, two Mute Swans, 11 Greylags, a Little Egret, a Nuthatch, two Ravens and ten Lapwings. (John Fletcher).

Gloucester     At Alney Island this afternoon 110 Teal, two pairs of Gadwalls and six Coots on Castlemeads West N.R. and a Grey Heron on Port Ham. (Gordon Avery).

Cotswold Water Park East     At Whelford Pools a CATTLE EGRET flew in and landed
under the Cormorant roost at 1:30pm on Pit 111b. Also 30+ Tufted Ducks, three Wigeon, 10+ Coots, two Mute Swans, two Great Crested Grebes, 10+ Cormorants nest building and a Buzzard over. (Bob Webb).

Saul Warth     Early afternoon the WATER PIPIT with 10+ Meadow Pipits still and the GLAUCOUS GULL sat on mudbank then flew high to the W. (Les Ditchburn).

WWT Slimbridge     The second calendar year GLAUCOUS GULL from Holden Tower until 8:40am. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Cotswold Water Park West     At Shorncote Reedbed the Barn Owl was active until 8:30am today. (Duncan Dine).

Netheridge Farm     A Barn Owl and a Peregrine were the highlights this morning. (Mark Hobson).

Stroud     A Dipper on the river near Waitrose. Also a few Redwings in the canalside trees and a Sparrowhawk. (Richard Williams).

Rodley Sands     The GLAUCOUS GULL again today at 10:15am. Also  four Whooper Swans (2 ads, 2 juvs), six Snipe, 15 Shelducks, five Stonechats and two Reed Buntings. (Dave Smith).

Cotswold Water Park West     The drake RING-NECKED DUCK still present this morning on Pit 16. (Mark Hobson). A GREAT WHITE EGRET on the small island between the two hides at Shorncote Reedbed at 8:20am. (Dave Soons).

Frampton pools     A BITTERN flew into Court Lake reed bed at dusk. Also the male Goldeneye still, 30 Little Egrets, a Snipe, two Tawny Owls and a Little Owl. (Nick Goatman). The Red-breasted Goose early this morning until it headed back to WWT at 7:30am. A pair of Red Crested Pochards, three Oystercatchers, 14 Gadwalls, ten Teal, a male Mandarin, three Water Rails, 122 Tufted Ducks, 50+ Lapwings and a Stonechat. (Nick Goatman/Gordon Hodgson). Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area today the Peregrine pair and two intruding Peregrines, Buzzards, two Goshawks, a displaying pair of Sparrowhawks, a Red Kite, Ravens, two Marsh Tits, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Jay, a Song Thrush, a pair of Stock Doves, a Grey Heron, c40 Lapwings, seven Goosanders (4m, 3f) and a Treecreeper. Also a Fox, ten Fallow Deer and a Bank Vole. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Cherington     At Cherington Lake this afternoon birds included four Little Grebes, a Little Egret, a Buzzard, two Grey Wagtails, nine Long tailed Tits and a Tawny Owl hooting at 5pm. (John Fletcher).

At Shorncote Reedbed early afternoon until dusk birds included 14 Shovelers, 23 Tufted Ducks, five Teal, four Little Egrets, a Grey Heron, two Cetti’s Warblers heard, a Kingfisher, two Grey Wagtails, seven Long-tailed Tits, a Cormorant, two Water Rails heard, a Kestrel and two Buzzards. Gloucester     The PENDULINE TIT at Plock Court, Longford still today at SO8375520392. Wellies recommended. Please keep a reasonable distance from the bird to allow it to feed in the ponds.

Frampton     The Red-breasted Goose again with 212 Barnacle Geese on Court Lake early morning only, but now returned to WWT. (Nick Goatman).

Cold Aston     160 Golden Plovers and 24 Lapwings on the high ground at lunchtime. (Andy Lewis).

Cotswold Water Park West     Today the drake RING-NECKED DUCK again on Pit 16. (Nigel Sluman/Malcolm Royal/Martin Greenish/Lee Evans). This evening a first-winter KUMLIEN’S GULL in the roost again. Also an adult MEDITERRANEAN GULL. (Kim Milsom).

Gloucester     The PENDULINE TIT at Plock Court, Longford still today at SO8375520392. Wellies recommended. Please keep a reasonable distance from the bird to allow it to feed in the ponds. (Lee Evans).

Frampton     The Red-breasted Goose was with the Barnacle Goose flock on Court Lake early morning only. Also a drake Mandarin again and a pair of Oystercatchers. (Nick Goatman). In the NE corner three Treecreepers in the same tree, a Little Grebe, a Little Egret, 29 Teal and a Kingfisher. Also the roosting Tawny Owl in Court Field and this evening 22 Little Egrets roosted on the middle Island. This morning a pair of Mandarins flew over Watery Lane towards Court Lake. (MK). A Spotted Redshank was on the flashes N of Splatt Bridge this morning. (MK). Two Woodcocks this evening at the Perry Way end of Court Lake at SO758075. (Roy Widgery).

Highnam Woods     The FIRECREST again at 1:21pm just N of the battery chicken area seen mainly in the Yews and Ivy.  Also a Woodcock flew over. (Ken Heron).
