Walmore Common     Two calling QUAILS and a Cattle Egret, both patch ticks. Also four Lapwings, five Grey Herons, a Sparrowhawk, a Kingfisher, 10+ Yellow Wagtails and dragonflies included Emperor, Four-spotted Chaser and Black-tailed Skimmer. (Andy Jayne).

WWT Slimbridge     Today seven Little Ringed Plovers and four Green Sandpipers on the Tack Piece. Three Dunlins from Middle Point. Two summer plumaged Spotted Redshanks and the leucistic Lapwing from Zeiss hide. (Ian Ralphs).

Saul Warth     This morning from 6:40am pre-high tide, 27 Avocets, nine Oystercatchers, 15 Black-tailed Godwits, 41 Curlews, a Kestrel, five Grey Herons, a Little Egret, two Grey Wagtails, a juvenile Stonechat, five Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, four Chiffchaffs, four Skylarks and 25 Swallows and a Sand Martin. Also the first Gatekeeper butterflies. (MK).

Frampton    Five Common Sandpipers on Court Lake, around the pools 24 Swifts, 30 Sand Martins, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Great White Egret, 95 Coots, 38 Mallards, three Tufted Ducks, 31 Mute Swans with 11 cygnets, six Cormorants, 50 Barnacle Geese, seven Canada Geese, 33 Greylags, a Ross’s Goose and an Oystercatcher. (Nick Goatman). An adult Yellow-legged Gull on the sailing lake this morning. (Steve Pullen).

Nailsworth    One, probably two, Whimbrels calling flying over Norton Wood, Forest Green at 11:10pm during a bat survey. Also a baby Tawny Owl calling in Norton Wood. (David Bullock).
