Frampton     Around the pools tonight 80+ Swifts, 50+ Sand Martins, a Hobby, a Cuckoo, an Oystercatcher, a Spotted Flycatcher, nine Great Crested Grebes and a chick, five Common Terns, three Tawny Owls and an owlet, a Yellow-legged Gull and nine Little Egrets. (Nick Goatman). From Splatt Bridge early morning a Cuckoo, a Common Tern, a female Mandarin over the canal and eight Swifts hawking low over the water. (Steve Pullen).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning 3+ Yellow Wagtails, a Redstart, a Great White Egret, an Egyptian Goose, a Little Ringed Plover, a Little Egret, a Redshank, an Oystercatcher with two young, six Sedge Warblers, a Reed Warbler, fledged Long-tailed Tits lined up, three Whitethroats and eight Reed Buntings. Saul Warth     This morning 23 Shelducks including nine ducklings, five Oystercatchers, six Curlews, a Marsh Harrier, a Cetti’s Warbler, two Whitethroats, two Chiffchaffs, six Linnets, a male Reed Bunting, a Roe Deer and two Common Blue Damselflies. (MK).

Gloucester     The BLACK REDSTART singing in the city centre last month was finally photographed on the 15th May on the HSBC building chimney at The Cross. (Jason Field).
