Cleeve Hill     Late morning a family party of Whitethroats at Bill Smyllie reserve. Also a Clouded Yellow, 5/6 Chalkhill Blues, several Common Blues, a worn Dark Green Fritillary, several each of Small Tortoiseshell, Small Heath, Meadow Brown, Small Whites and a few Green Veined Whites. Frampton pools     This morning three Common Terns, an adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Kingfisher, four adult Little Grebes and four chicks, a Great Crested Grebe with two chicks, two female Tufted Ducks with 20 ducklings. Frampton     An OSPREY flew N over the village this morning. (Gordon Kirk). Reportedly seen fishing by a fisherman on the Blue Pool at the the top end of the Sailing Lake at 6:45pm. (per Nick Goatman). Around the pools a Greenshank, two Common Sandpipers, four Common Terns, an adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Kingfisher, six Gadwalls and nine Tufted Ducks with 17 ducklings. Gloucester     At Over canal today a Mandarin, a Garden Warbler, three Lesser Whitethroats, a Spotted Flycatcher, two Redstarts, plus 11 species of Odonata including Brown, Migrant and Southern Hawker and White-legged and Small Red-eyed Damselflies. (Andy Jayne).

Cleeve Hill     At the Butterfly reserve today Ravens, Buzzards, Swallows, a pair of Kestrels, Linnets and Yellowhammers. Other sightings included Chalk Hill Blue, Small Blue, Common Blue, Green-veined White, Small and Large White, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Small Copper, Small Tortoiseshell, Peacock, Brown Argus, Marbled White, Wall (pic) and Brimstone butterflies and a Silver Y moth. Cotswold Water Park West     A LITTLE TERN still on Pit 41 until 3:20pm at least. It does go missing and has been on Pit 74 in Wilts today, but soon returns. (Terry Grant). 

WWT Slimbridge     A GREAT WHITE EGRET around the grounds and seen to land in the 100-Acre at 1:35pm. Ten Common Cranes on the Dumbles at high tide and a Peregrine flew inland. Three Green Sandpipers from Robbie Garnett hide and a Green Sandpiper and a Common Sandpiper on the Rushy. The Spotted Redshank, a Knot, a juvenile GARGANEY and a Marsh Harrier still. Purton     A CURLEW SANDPIPER with eight Ringed Plovers and 4 Dunlins flew N upriver and a Greenshank, two Yellow Wagtails and 14 Swifts flew S past Purton this morning. (Francis Steuck).

Stinchcombe Hill     A fresh juvenile Whinchat, at least two Crossbills and six Swifts on the move this morning. (James Robinson).

Saul Warth    3+ Willow Warblers, 44 Meadow Pipits, a Wheatear, a Red Kite and 11 Avocets on the river. (Gordon Hodgson).

Ashleworth Ham     Birds of note caught in a CES ringing session included six Redstarts, six Whitethroats and three Bullfinches. On the reserve 30 Mallards, four Teal, a Grey Heron, a Buzzard, 15 Swallows and five House Martins. Also a male Roe Deer. (Mike Smart).

Cotswold Water Park West     A CASPIAN TERN flew through Pit 41 N at 9am and wasn’t relocated. Also a LITTLE TERN on Pit 41 present until 5:45pm at least. (Dave Creber).

Nailsworth      A RED-RUMPED SWALLOW flew S close by, along the Nailsworth Valley at 4.52pm. Also 163 Swifts flew S between 2:30-5pm, and a Red Kite flew over heading E. (Terry Grant).

Selsley     A juvenile Mediterranean Gull, two Crossbills, a Siskin, a Grey Wagtail, a Yellow Wagtail, 40 Black-headed Gulls and ten Swifts past the Common between 6:45-8:15am. Also four Hobbies causing mayhem in the local House Martin colonies. (Francis Steuck).

Stinchcombe Hill    A Lesser Whitethroat and a Whitethroat this morning and at least 11 Spotted Flycatchers at the north end sheltering from the wind. (James Robinson).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Three Whinchats, two Stonechats, a Green Sandpiper, a Little Ringed Plover and a Yellow Wagtail from Grundon hide this morning between 6-9am. (Colin Greenfield).

Coombe Hill Meadows    This evening eight Whinchats, seven Yellow Wagtails, a Wheatear, a male Stonechat, a male Reed Bunting, a Linnet, two Skylarks, five Swallows, eight Chiffchaffs, three Sedge Warbler, four Green Sandpipers, a Little Ringed Plover, 44 Lapwings, three Grey Herons, 25 Mallards, a Mute Swan and a Barn Owl. Daneway Banks     A Green Sandpiper flew N high over The Daneway pub camping ground at 8am calling and another (possibly the same bird) at 9:30am, flying NE also calling. (David Bullock/Jane Sedgeley-Strachan).

Waterhatch     Near the old barns 5+ Swallows around the wires, a Buzzard with a juvenile calling, a Yellowhammer, a Green Woodpecker calling and a party of Long-tailed Tits. (Gill Worthington).

Saul Warth     At high tide this morning a Crossbill heard, the first returning Wheatear, a Whinchat, two Stonechats, a Whitethroat, a Chiffchaff, a Reed Bunting, two Grey Wagtails, a female/immature Marsh Harrier hunting the shoreline, two Buzzards, a female Kestrel, 20 Avocets and four Dunlins.
