Also ten Little Egrets, a Bar-tailed Godwit, ten Black-tailed Godwits, an Avocet, two Curlew Sandpipers, 50+ Ringed Plovers, two Dunlins, 186 Curlews, a Redshank, two Common Sandpipers and a Wheatear. The GREAT WHITE EGRET showed well from Knott hide for at least 3 hours. Two Green Sandpipers on the Tack Piece and another on the Rushy and a pair of Egyptian Geese on South Lake. (MK/Dave Creber). Cotswold Water Park East     An OSPREY overhead at the NE end of Pit 132 for a few minutes at 3:30pm then headed N towards Whelford. Also an Oystercatcher, 70 Lapwings and two Egyptian Geese. (Peter Jackson).

Saul Warth     A GREY PHALAROPE at The Noose over the morning tide flew down river and continued until lost to view. Also a juvenile Arctic Tern joined the gulls, six Cormorants, four Ringed Plovers, two Dunlins and adult and juvenile Greenshanks. (Martin McGill). The juvenile SHAG again today just after high tide. After flying around it finally settled on the estuary and was last seen on the mud at 1pm. (Colin Greenfield).

Frampton pools     A Pied Flycatcher and two Spotted Flycatchers in the Gravel Wash. Also five Redstarts, three Whinchats, five Whitethroats, three Willow Warblers, 36 Chiffchaffs, 18 Blackcaps, a Yellow Wagtail, two Hobbies, 12 Swifts, 27 Robins, 100+ Sand Martins and a Grey Wagtail. Sharpness     A Petrel sp mid channel past SARA briefly. A probable Little Tern flew downriver at 10:45am. Also a Turnstone and a Sanderling. (Paul Rich/Jake King).

At high tide on the last bit of exposed mud 20+ Curlews, 10+ Knot, eight Black-tailed Godwits, six Redshanks and a Bar-tailed Godwit. WWT Slimbridge     A first-winter CITRINE WAGTAIL from mid-morning until 5pm at least showing on and off from Hogarth hide although missing for 2 hours this afternoon. This is the first record for Gloucestershire. (Paul Masters/Ian Stewart/Nick Truby). Early access Sunday 16th August for members only. Escorted visits leaving the car park at 8am and 9am, numbers limited on first come basis. Membership card must be presented.
