Berkeley     Still four House Martins over the garden in Berkeley this evening. (Tom Weston-McClung).

Lower Lode     Three Mute Swans, six Greylags, 230 Canada Geese including a small race Cackling Goose, 16 Wigeon, four Teal, five Mallards, a male Shoveler, seven Tufted Ducks (2m, 2f, 3 juvs), six Cormorants, two juvenile Little Grebes, a Great Crested Grebe and nine Coots. (Les Brown).

Symonds Yat    The Peregrine pair and an intruding Peregrine, five Buzzards in a thermal, a male Sparrowhawk, Ravens, flocks of Redwings, two Mistle Thrushes, a Song Thrush, four Bullfinches, six Jays, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, nine Mandarins(4m, 5f), a Kingfisher, c60 Canada Geese and three Stock Doves. Cotswold Water Park West     At Shorncote Reedbed 40 Teal, six Shovelers, ten Gadwalls, three Little Egrets, three Water Rails, four Buzzards, a Green Woodpecker, a Grey Wagtail, c40 Pied Wagtails in to roost, two female/immature Stonechats, 4-5 Cetti’s Warblers, two Chiffchaffs, ten Linnets and 14 Reed Buntings. Ashleworth Ham     From the hide at Meerend Thicket this afternoon birds included 42 Teal, a Little Egret, three Grey Herons, three Wigeon, two Ravens, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Nuthatch and two Snipe. (John Fletcher).

Arlingham     Near Arlingham an OSPREY flew NE towards the Forest. Also a Curlew flew from a cornfield onto the river.(Marie-Claire Chapman).

Sharpness      A GREAT WHITE EGRET and a Spotted Redshank from SARA this evening. Also a Reed Warbler. (Andy Jordan).

Symonds Yat    From the viewpoint today the Peregrine pair, a Goshawk, a male Sparrowhawk, four Buzzards, Ravens, a male Mandarin, nine Siskins, c12 Long-tailed Tits, two Mistle Thrushes, three Jays, Fallow Deer rutting and four seen including a fully antlered black mulberry buck swimming across the Wye. Also a Speckled Wood and two Red Admiral butterflies. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Framilode     A Kingfisher behind The Ship Inn and six Shelducks flew onto the river. On the shore between Framilode and Frampton 24 Wheatears  and two Little Egrets. (Marie-Claire Chapman).

Frampton     At Frampton shore 25+ Curlews and many Shelducks.(Marie-Claire Chapman).

Duntisbourne Leer     Seven Linnets, three Yellowhammers and 30+ Goldfinches on wires near at 6:05pm and 50+ Golden Plovers in the adjacent newly turned field. (Michael Cook).

Chapman’s Cross     80+ Golden Plovers in a rape field at 6:20pm. (Michael Cook).

Gloucester     At Horsbere Brook Flood Storage Lake 70+Linnets, a pair of Stonechats and a Little Grebe this morning. (Martin Greenish).

Cleeve Hill     This morning a Whinchat by the gate from West Down into Wardens Wood, five Stonechats near Wontley Barn.  Several small flocks of 15-25 Redwings flying over heading W.  At least 500 Linnets on a stubble field, disturbed by a Sparrowhawk. (Chris Stott).
