WWT Slimbridge     A SPOONBILL flew over the car park at 9:15am. On South Lake 200+ Lapwings, a Chiffchaff, two Swallows, a Pochard, a Little Grebe, a Curlew Sandpiper, 17+ Redshanks, 100+ Black-tailed Godwits, three Ruff and eight Cormorants. From Zeiss Hide/South Finger, a Cetti’s Warbler, 700+ Teal, a Little Egret, 79+ Shelducks, two Redshanks, three Ruff, a Greenshank, 51 Wigeon, 18+ Swallows S, 25+ Golden Plovers, a Curlew heard, a Peregrine, three Blackcaps and a Grey Heron. From Holden Tower/Summer Walkway a singing Chiffchaff, 290+ Teal, 17 Common Cranes, six Reed Buntings, 54+ Meadow Pipits, a Golden Plover over, two Wheatears, 11+ Swallows and 76+ House Martins downriver, two Little Egrets, four Skylarks over and a Grey Heron. (Mark Grieve).

WWT Slimbridge     The SPOONBILL on the Bottom New Piece viewed from South Finger at 10:30am. (Geoff Moyser). 17 Golden Plovers over Dumbles at 1:15pm. (Rich Hearn).

Frampton     At 7:10 a Barn Owl flew S just S of Splatt Bridge at SO741064. Also a male Tawny Owl hooting from Nebrow Hill Oakwood. (Paddy Doyle). At Frampton pools tonight 17 Chiffchaffs, two Grey Wagtails, 41 Tufted Ducks, 18 Teal, 16 Gadwalls, a Shoveler, seven Great Crested Grebes, two Little Grebes and three Little Egrets. (Nick Goatman).

Gloucester     At Horsbere Brook Flood Storage Lake this morning a Little Egret, a Snipe, the first Teal of the Autumn, two Grey Herons and two Grey Wagtails. (Martin Greenish).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A pair of Mute Swans with three cygnets, three Wigeon, 60 Teal, 31 Shovelers, a Grey Heron, 27 Lapwings, two Snipe, a Little Owl calling, a pair of Stonechats, diurnal migrants moving SW included three Skylarks, 20 Meadow Pipits, three Swallows and a Yellow Wagtail. Ashleworth Ham     A Canada Goose, 80 Teal and a Shoveler today. (Mike Smart).

Tirley     A garden Chiffchaff and at the Sandpits 66+ Swallows and 13+ House Martins flew S, 62+ Meadow Pipits on pasture, six Stock Doves, 46 Skylarks on stubble, a Hobby over S at 12:45pm and two Chiffchaffs. (Mark Grieve).

Northleach     Seven Red Kites over the A40 at 3pm. (Michael I King).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Two Stonechats and two Whinchats today. (Ian Hull).Five Mute Swans, 20 Canada Geese, 75 Teal, three Wigeon, ten Shovelers, 15 Mallards, a Grey Heron, five Coots, 37 Lapwings; a Ruff, five Snipe, four Swallows S, 15 Meadow Pipits, five Chiffchaffs and two Reed Buntings. Leigh Meadows     Two Little Egrets, a Snipe, a Kingfisher, c40 House Martins and ten Swallows around cattle, 45 Meadow Pipits, a Grey Wagtail and three Reed Buntings today. (Mike Smart).

Cobney Meadows    33 Mallards, 30 Swallows, 20 House Martins and a Chiffchaff calling today. (Mike Smart).

Forest of Dean      At Lower Lydbrook Swallows and House Martins, two Mistle Thrushes and a Raven. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Symonds Yat     At Yat Rock the Peregrine pair, four Ravens, five Buzzards, a female Goshawk, three Jays, a Tawny Owl calling, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, eight Fallow Deer a Hornet and a Red Admiral butterfly. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Nailsworth     A count between 5:35 pm and 7:pm resulted in 2840+ House Martins and 2280+ Swallows flying S, with many more low-flying birds passing by unrecorded hidden by trees. (Terry Grant).

Lower Lode     This morning two Mute Swans, six Canada Geese, three Mandarins (2 m, 1 f),  16 Mallards, seven Cormorants, a Grey Heron, a Great Crested Grebe, seven Coots and eight Golden Plovers flew SE. (Les Brown).

Ashleworth Ham     This morning c220 Canada Geese, 12 Greylags, a male Wigeon, 28 Teal, 17 Mallards and two Nuthatches. (Les Brown).

Gloucester     A Common Tern over the Gloucester Canal at SO 81431 15616 off of the Bristol Road at 10:25am then flew off down the canal towards Elmore. (Michael Cook).

Hardwicke     Five Jays and a Green Woodpecker in an Oak tree at SO 80701 12518 at 2pm and five Linnets on waste ground nearby at SO 80766 12398. (Michael Cook).

Rodley     In the Blueboys Farm area a Little Egret, 71 Curlews, an adult Mediterranean Gull, two Whinchats, five Stonechats and three Wheatears today. (Andy Jayne).

Walmore Common     A Snipe, three Whinchats and three Wheatears today. (Andy Jayne).

WWT Slimbridge     A SPOONBILL at Zeiss hide today, but it flew off NE. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Frampton     A Marsh Harrier from Splatt Bridge this morning but no sign of the ringtail Hen Harrier.  (Martin Greenish). At the pools this evening  pools four Sand Martins with 18 House Martins, seven Chiffchaffs, 16 Teal, 18 Tufted Ducks, three Little Grebes and a Grey Wagtail. (Nick Goatman).

Tirley Sandpits     Eight Chiffchaffs, 46+ House Martins and 46+ Swallows S, 156+ Meadow Pipits, 43 Skylarks, six Yellowhammers, 35+ Goldfinches, 112+ Linnets, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, ten Pied Wagtails, two male Stonechats and four Bullfinches today.  (Mark Grieve).

Frampton     The ringtail HEN HARRIER again this morning from 8:20-9:05am at least. View from the gate at Splatt Bridge. Also a Hobby. (Paul Masters/Paul Rich). Around the pools this morning two Yellow-legged Gulls, two Pintails, 11 Chiffchaffs, 24 Meadow Pipits, a Cetti’s Warbler, three Blackcaps, 15 Swallows, three House Martins and five Yellowhammers. (Nick Goatman).

Corse     A Barn Owl flew across the road at 4:45am. (Mark Grieve).

Westonbirt Arboretum     This afternoon 6+ Goldcrests working through the canopy in the old arboretum along with Blue Tits, Long-tailed Tits and two Coal Tits and a pair of Hobbies high over the Oakland Walk. (Michael Cook).

Bricklehampton     A Grey Wagtail on the garage roof at lunchtime. (Chris Snook).

Coombe Hill Meadows    Two Little Egrets, a Kingfisher, a Lesser Whitethroat, five Stock Doves, two Grey Herons, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, 12 Meadow Pipits, 26 Canada Geese, six House Martins, two Jays and many Hornets today. (Les Waring).

Staverton     70+ Pied Wagtails coming in to roost in a tree in the works car park at Dowty this evening. (Martin Greenish).

Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint the Peregrine pair and an intruding Peregrine, two Sparrowhawks, two Hobbies, three Goshawks (1 ad,2 juvs), four Buzzards, the resident Ravens, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Jays, House Martins and two Stock Doves. Berkeley shore      An adult Yellow-legged Gull this morning, two Whinchats, two Stonechats, three Greenshanks, six Common Sandpiper and five Snipe. (Paul Taylor).

Witcombe Reservoir     This morning two Yellow Wagtails and a Snipe. (Colin Greenfield).

Coombe Hill Meadows     20 Canada Geese, a Greylag, a juvenile Shelduck, two Wigeon, 95 Teal, 12 Mallards, 12 Shovelers, three Grey Herons, 46 Lapwings, six Snipe, a Ruff and a Green Sandpiper, two Sparrowhawks, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, two Swallows, at least 100 Meadow Pipits, two Stonechats, five Chiffchaffs, 25 Linnets and a Reed Bunting. Frampton     This afternoon a small ringtail HEN HARRIER hunting over the 100-Acre but elusive at times. View from the gate at Splatt Bridge. Also two Hobbies, four Kestrels, a juvenile Marsh Harrier, a Buzzard, 20+ Meadow Pipits and four Whinchats. (MK/Paul Taylor). A WOOD SANDPIPER flew over with two Green Sandpipers. WWT Slimbridge     This morning the SPOTTED CRAKE still from the Van den Bovencamp hide along South Finger on the Dragonfly pond. Coombe Hill Meadows     From the Grundon hide a juvenile Marsh Harrier, a Kestrel, a female Sparrowhawk, two Buzzards, three Corn Buntings, two Jays, three Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, Meadow Pipits, Linnets, a Raven, a Stock Dove, Long-tailed Tits, Lapwings, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a mixed flock of c300 Swallows and House Martins feeding. Forest of Dean     At Blaize Bailey at 4pm a pair of Goshawks in display flight with talon grabbing for about 5 minutes above the field at the bottom of the garden. They then flew off together. This evening at 6:30pm a juvenile Goshawk perched in a tree at the field edge. (Peter Boorman & Lynne Mayers).

Chapman’s Cross     50+ Golden Plovers in the second field on the right hand side just past Chapman’s Cross towards Stroud at Beacon Farm, Frampton Mansell this morning at 8:10am viewed from the A419  SO 93351 01686. (Michael Cook).

Tuffley     A Little Owl between Tuffley and Kingsway being mobbed by Blackbirds then went into a dense tree SO818142. (Mark Hobson).
