Stinchcombe Hill     A RICHARD’S PIPIT flew over this morning, calling loudly and heading S with a steady movement of Meadow Pipits. Also 60 Pied Wagtails and Siskins, Lesser Redpoll and Linnet on the move too. A HAWFINCH flew over N this evening. (James Robinson).

Cleeve Hill     Three RING OUZELS E of Washpool valley this morning, also a Whinchat, a Raven, at least 17 Meadow Pipits, seven Skylarks, a few Chiffchaffs, Song Thrush and lots of Goldfinches and the odd Linnet. (Roberta Goodall).

Stinchcombe Hill     A RING OUZEL by the 7th tee, two late White Wagtails in a large Pied Wagtail flock, Linnets on the move, but only single figures of Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps this morning. (James Robinson).

Ashleworth Ham     At this morning’s ringing session 69 birds were caught, including ten Meadow Pipits, a Blackcap, 20 Chiffchaffs, seven Lesser Redpolls, nine Goldfinches and 11 Reed Buntings. (Mike Smart).

Guscar Rocks     On the evening tide eight Wigeon, four Teal, five Mallards, five Grey Herons, six Lapwings, three Ringed Plovers, 140 Dunlins with at least one juvenile, a Curlew Sandpiper, a Bar-tailed Godwit, 356 Curlews and 11 Redshanks. (Mike Smart).

Forest of Dean     At Soudley Ponds a male Mandarin, four Little Grebes, on birdseed on a tree trunk by the car park eight Coal Tits, four Nuthatches and a Marsh Tit. A Goshawk seen from the track near the car park. At Woorgreens six Siskins, two female Goosanders, a Green Woodpecker, a pair of displaying Ravens and 20 Fallow Deer. At Parkend Church 3 or 4 Crossbills heard, two Jays collecting acorns and a Mistle Thrush. Coal Tit and Nuthatch by the cricket pitch. (Stephen Curtis & Carol Rushton).
