Coombe Hill Meadows     A GREAT WHITE EGRET from Grundon Hide, then flew off towards Long Pool. A Red Kite flew over and drifted towards Tewkesbury. Also 50+ Linnets, 30 Swallows and 20 House Martins today. (Paul Clark).

Also present, a juvenile Goshawk, a Green Sandpiper, a Peregrine, a Kingfisher, two Ravens, five Blackcaps, a Whinchat, a pair of Stonechats, a Wheatear and two Grey Wagtails. (Andy Jayne).

Nailsworth     Two Hobbies flying S this morning. This afternoon a ringtail HEN HARRIER successfully hunting over fields on the Chavenage road, just off the A46 (ST84 95). The bird aggressively attacked a Buzzard, a Crow and a Kestrel. It was last seen shortly before 5pm hunting over grass fields on the opposite side of the road to the farm buildings. WWT Slimbridge     A LESSER YELLOWLEGS on South Lake at 9:30am then flew off. It returned to South Lake at 10:10am and was there but elusive until it flew off high N at 11:25am. It was relocated on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide at 3:20pm and remained until late afternoon at least. This is the 4th record for Gloucestershire. (Scott Petrek). Cleeve Hill    From Bill Smylie and the Masts reserve a Red Kite, a female Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, Linnets, Swallows and c200/300 House Martins feeding above the small copse in the masts reserve, four Meadow Pipits, Goldfinches, six Stonechats, and three Wrens. Other sightings included Small Copper, Red Admiral, Speckled Wood, Small Heath, Brown Argus, Common Blue, Large, Small and Green-veined White butterflies, Seven-Spot Ladybirds and a Common Lizard.
