Cotswolds     At the Hawling triangle, five Yellow Wagtails, a female and four juveniles feeding on the minor road at the east end and two Reed Buntings singing. Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon ten Avocets including six fledged juveniles, a juvenile Redshank, a summer plumage Dunlin, a juvenile Little Ringed Plover, c50 Lapwings and a Green Sandpiper. (Ian Hull).

Plusterwine to Guscar Rocks     At high tide this morning, 120 Curlews, 32 Lapwings, nine Oystercatchers, a Peregrine, a female Kestrel, four Buzzards, three Grey Herons, two adult and eight juvenile Shelducks, two Bar-headed Geese, a Moorhen, three Stock Doves, four Collared Doves, a Chiffchaff, six Meadow Pipits, a female Yellow Wagtail, 35 Linnets, four Goldfinches, a Great Black-backed Gull and 15 Swallows. Cheltenham     On farmland E of Cheltenham from Hewletts Reservoir to the treeline E of Northfield Farm this morning birds included up to six Buzzards, up to four Ravens, two Green Woodpeckers, three Swallows, three Swifts, a Skylark, a female Redstart and a Greenfinch. (Howard Smith).

Cotswold Water Park West     At Pit 126 eight Oystercatchers and a Common Tern on the sandbank at the eastern end today. (John Durell).

Prestbury   This afternoon between Prestbury and Southam they were cutting the grass in the field to the N of the racecourse. At 1:54pm there were five Red Kites, a Hobby and three Buzzards along with mixed gulls. (Ken Heron).

Sheepscombe     Along the Painswick Stream this afternoon six Mallards (3 adults and 3 ducklings), five Moorhens (1 adult and 4 tiny chicks), two Mistle Thrushes, three Song Thrushes, three Chiffchaffs, two Goldfinches, two Stock Doves, two Blackcaps, a Green Woodpecker and a Buzzard. Purton     This morning a male Whinchat, six Whimbrels, 26 Curlews and two Crossbills flew over S. (Francis Steuck).

Cam     This evening a Hobby harassing Swifts over Tesco. (Jonathan Bull).

Gloucester     At 4pm a Little Egret flew low over Chatsworth Avenue, Tuffley heading SE. (Dean Lord).

Forest of Dean    50+ Goldfinches alternating between a meadow and the power lines above it in May Hill village today. (Rob Guest).

WWT Slimbridge     On South Lake four Mediterranean Gulls, three Little Ringed Plovers, 66 Black-tailed Godwits, 75 Avocets and five Oystercatchers. From Zeiss hide four Ruff (3 males and a reeve), a Greenshank, 30+ Redshanks, 81 Avocets, two Oystercatchers, a Little Ringed Plover, a Hobby, a pair of Common Cranes with a juvenile and 40 Teal. Maisemore     Either side of Church Road and along Court Lake to the weir and upper parting this afternoon birds included two Moorhens with four very young chicks, 12 House Martins, four Swallows, a Swift, three Mute Swans, 13 Mallards, a Chiffchaff, two Buzzards, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, five Blackcaps and five Whitethroats. On the Rushy 53 Black-tailed Godwits, six Avocets and a Green Sandpiper. Another Green Sandpiper on the Tack Piece. Forest of Dean     At May Hill two pairs of Stonechats on top of the Hill, it’s suspected one pair has bred. Also a Garden Warbler singing in the scrub lower down the Hill. (Rob Guest). At St. Briavels a Red Kite flying in a westerly direction at 1:30pm. (Bob Broughton).
