Upham Meadow     At the northern end on a narrow area of the top of the flood bank were 20 Curlews, 565 Wigeon feeding at the water’s edge, 11 Greylags, 103 Canada Geese, five Teal, five Mallards, five Gadwalls, ten Shovelers, four Tufted Ducks, a Oystercatcher, three Lapwings, 290 Black-headed Gulls, five Common Gulls and six Ravens displaying overhead. Maisemore     From Church Road around the lake to the weir on the Severn this afternoon birds included two Little Grebes, two Mute Swans, two Canada Geese, 21 Mallards, six Moorhens, a Coot, three Greenfinches, three Great Spotted Woodpeckers, one drumming, a Mistle Thrush, 59 Redwings, 14 Fieldfares, a Red Kite and three Buzzards. Gloucester      At Horsebere Flood Storage Area SO866189 late afternoon birds included male and female Teal, a Mallard, five Coots, four Moorhens, a Cormorants, a male Sparrowhawk, three Goldfinches. a Song Thrush and male and female Reed Bunting. (John Fletcher).

Ashleworth    This evening at Ashleworth Quay a Barn Owl, a Little Owl and a Tawny Owl heard. (Josh Adamms).

Daglingworth    Along the Park Corner to Sapperton road two Bramblings with 50 Chaffinches and hundreds of Linnets in the trees and ranging around the fields at

Broadoak     At 1:30pm today an adult KITTIWAKE, and an adult gull showing characteristics of Caspian Gull. In a strong wind, poor light, and at 300 yards it was impossible to get proper details, but the dark eye, contrasting with a pure white head, pale straw legs, and lack of a gonydeal angle suggested Caspian.
