Forest of Dean    At Parkend at the church this morning two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, two Jays, 2+ Nuthatches, a party of 6-8 Long-tailed Tits, and a mixed tit flock including several Coal Tits and a Marsh Tit; also a Hawfinch in the tall trees west of the cricket pitch and a ringed Dipper (yellow above pale blue on right leg, red on left leg) on Cannop Brook south of the Fountain Inn. Forest of Dean     No sign of the shrike in 3 hours this morning in poor conditions. 70+ Siskins and a Snipe at Woorgreens. At Crabtree Hill another Snipe, 2+ Crossbills and a male Stonechat, a Muntjac in Crumpmeadow Inclosure (the wooded descent beyond Crabtree Hill). At Cannop ponds a Marsh Tit visiting the bird table, 12 Mandarins and a Little Grebe and a Cormorant at the Stoneworks. (MK).

Also four Roe Deer. At Pit 44 50 Red Crested Pochards, at Neigh Bridge car park 2-3 Siskins and at Pit 56 five Goosanders (3m, 2f). Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area today the resident Peregrine pair and the Peregrine pair on Doward Hill nearby, two Buzzards, two Goosanders (m & f), a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming, two Goldcrests, Mistle Thrushes, a Stock Dove, a Raven, Nuthatches and a small flock of Long-tailed Tits.
