Forest of Dean     At 12:15pm at New Grounds, Lydney Harbour there was a Great White Egret, standing in full view in a field at about 500 metres from the sea wall. Also a Peregrine on the sea wall and 130 Fieldfares. (Roger Ruston).

Cherington   Around Cherington Lake ST 898985 birds included three Little Grebes, two Goldcrests, seven Long-tailed Tits, two Coal Tits, a Grey Wagtail, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Grey Heron and a Buzzard. (John Fletcher).

Severn Hams     Due to flooding the Wainlodes and Tirley-Ashleworth minor roads are still impassable; while levels of floodwater have dropped on the meadows, both Coombe Hill and Ashleworth are practically unbirdable. At Coombe Hill from the towpath two Mute Swans, 20+ Wigeon, 50+ Teal, 43+ Pintails, two Shovelers and 20 Coots. At the edge of the flood on the Hasfield side at SO 829251 three Mute Swans, 1200 Wigeon, 150 Teal and 20 Pintails. In the very rough field at the end of Stank Lane three Snipe and a Jack Snipe. Sharpness     A BLACK REDSTART at the end of the dock road, seen on top of the the red brick buildings on the left as you approach and by the disused railway track. (Colin Greenfield).

Cotswold Water Park West    At Pit 44 seven Goosanders, 35 Red Crested Pochards, a Water Rail, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Green Woodpecker, a Cetti’s Warbler and a Chiffchaff. (Steve Brown).

Charlton Kings     At midday a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming persistently. (Steve Brown).

Winstone    c180 Golden Plovers circling overhead between Winstone and Park Corner late morning, also a pair of Stonechats in the set-aside and a singing Mistle Thrush. (Jon Mercer).

Frampton pools     50+ Dunlins and 500+ Golden Plovers flew over, three Pintails, a Yellow-legged Gull, three Stonechats, two Bramblings, a Blackcap, 100+Fieldfares, 50+Redwings and 44 Pied Wagtails today. At Court Lake roost this evening a Cattle Egret, 35 Little Egrets, 24 Cormorants and two Water Rails calling. (Nick Goatman).

A very large mixed flock (200+) of mainly Chaffinches with Bramblings and a few Tit species at the Forestry Commission area at bottom of road S past New Fancy View (right turn to Parkend), all eventually moved E through trees. Frampton    A Marsh Harrier from Splatt Bridge this morning, 13 Pintails, two Snipe, a Blackcap and 140 Golden Plovers through S. (Gordon Hodgson). A Yellow-legged Gull back on the Sailing Lake shed today, also around the pools 55 Tufted Ducks, 34 Mallards, 11 Gadwalls, 11 Great Crested Grebes, a Little Grebe, two male Blackcaps and a roosting Tawny Owl. Berkeley shore     This morning a WATER PIPIT, three Oystercatchers, 51 Turnstones, two Jack Snipes and two Stonechats. (Paul Taylor).

Tewkesbury     A Barn Owl this morning being chased by corvids around several neighbouring gardens, a garden tick. (Les Ditchburn).

Cotswold Water Park West    An adult and a 3rd year Yellow-legged Gull on Pit 12 this evening with 300 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 200+ Black-headed Gulls and four Herring Gulls. (Mark Coller).

Maisemore     Along Church Road, from the lake to the weir this afternoon birds included two Little Grebes, 45 Mallards, two Mute Swans, three Song Thrushes, a Mistle Thrush, 60+ Redwings, 30+ Fieldfares, a Green Woodpecker, three Goldfinches, two Buzzards and a Cormorant. (John Fletcher).

Forest of Dean     At Crabtree Hill the GREAT GREY SHRIKE between 1pm and 2pm, at times showing well when perched, although for lengthy periods it would disappear into low vegetation. Seven Cormorants perching in the usual tree on the Severn bank at SO 800154. In surrounding fields a Meadow Pipit, a Stonechat, 75 Fieldfares and 120 Starlings feeding on the ground, a Chiffchaff and a Fox. Cotswold Water Park West     This afternoon until dusk at Shorncote Reedbeds eight Grey Herons, six Little Egrets, c40 Wigeon, c20 Teal, c70 Tufted Ducks, 350+ Lapwings over, a Snipe, two Water Rails seen and 8+ heard, a female Marsh Harrier mobbed by corvids at 3:10pm, a male Sparrowhawk, a pair of Kestrels, a Tawny Owl in flight at 4:35pm, a Barn Owl hunting from 4:38pm, a Kingfisher heard, c40 Redwings, c25 Fieldfares, a pair of Stonechats, a Grey Wagtail, six Long-tailed Tits, three Chiffchaffs, three Cetti’s Warblers, six Linnets and four Reed Buntings. Also a murmuration of 5000+ Starlings flew towards Keynes Park.

Frampton pools     Two female Goldeneyes on Court Lake. Also around the pools 53 Tufted Ducks, nine Great Crested Grebes, 18 Mallards, six Gadwalls, 185 Coots, five Grey Herons, 28 Pied Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail, a female Blackcap and six Siskins. (Nick Goatman).
