Frampton pools     Four Teal, two Gadwalls, a Common Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, three Common Terns, two Grey Wagtails, 51 Chiffchaffs, 24 Blackcaps, three Willow Warblers, nine Reed Warblers, a Whitethroat, seven Bullfinches, two Nuthatches and three Treecreepers today. Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning seven Green Sandpipers and a juvenile Water Rail on Long Pool, a female Garganey on the main island, a Yellow Wagtail over, a Small Red-eyed Damselfly on Snipe Pool and Emerald Damselflies along the canal. (Ian Ralphs).

Quedgeley    A Common Tern flew low over Shelduck Road with what looked like a beak full of fish at 3:40pm today. (Steve Pullen).

Highnam Woods     This afternoon three Chiffchaffs, two Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker calling, three Nuthatches, a Treecreeper, a Song Thrush, a Pied Wagtail, two Buzzards calling and a family of six Wrens. (John Fletcher).

Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area today the resident Peregrine pair and an adult Peregrine on Great Doward Hill nearby, a juvenile Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Jay, Stock Doves, House Martins, Swallows, Mandarins and a Kingfisher. Other sightings included a Bank Vole, a Hornet, Hummingbird Hawkmoths, Rose Chafers, Fallow Deer and Silver-washed Fritillary, Painted Lady, Ringlet, Holly Blue, Common Blue, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown and Large White butterflies. Bevington     At 7:20pm 42 Canada Geese in the field next to Bluegates Farm at ST666978. A Little Owl at ST675970 near Pedington Elm Farm at 8pm. (Paddy Doyle).

WWT Slimbridge     Two Spoonbills flew over the Rushy at 8:05am heading towards South Lake, then headed N up river, and one possibly two roosting on the spartina island later. (Kane Brides). Cotswold Water Park East     Mid morning at Pit 119 40 Black-headed Gulls, mostly juveniles, a Green Sandpiper, an Oystercatcher, a Grey Heron, two Little Egrets, 15 Mallards and a Buzzard. (Paul Charles).

Berkeley    15 Common Sandpipers this evening in the Pill over high tide. Three earlier this morning at Sharpness. (Andy Jordan).

WWT Slimbridge     Birds today included the Spoonbill, four Little Egrets, four Dunlins, four Little Ringed Plovers, 10+ Green Sandpipers, 11 Ruff, 160+ Black-tailed Godwits and 70+ Redshanks. Longlevens     A female Greenfinch again this morning for a 2nd day in the garden at Park Avenue feeding on sunflower seeds. (Pam & Frank Bryant).

Selsley Common     19 butterfly species including c25 Chalkhill Blues, two fresh Small Blues (2nd brood), a Dark Green Fritillary and four Essex Skippers. (Chris Newton).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening 11 Mute Swans, three Greylags, 25 Canada Geese, 14 Gadwalls, two Shovelers, a female Tufted Duck still with six ducklings, 55 Lapwings, five Snipe and a Common Sandpiper. (Mike Smart).

Ashleworth Ham     This evening birds included a Grey Heron, 19 Mallards, four Moorhens, three Canada Geese, four Sand Martins, a Raven, a Green Woodpecker, a Chiffchaff, seven Goldfinches, 50+ Carrion Crows, 70+ Jackdaws and a Buzzard. (John Fletcher).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Late this evening the three juvenile Curlews (two of them the colour-ringed young from Hasfield) came in to roost at 9:05pm. Also three Black-tailed Godwits, at least 35 Canada Geese, seven Gadwalls, a female Tufted Duck with six ducklings and 50 Lapwings. (Mike Smart).

Forest of Dean     In the Cannop Valley a Dipper, a family of Grey Wagtails, a Pied Wagtail and Ravens. Other sightings included Common Blue and Azure Blue damselflies, Silver-washed Fritillaries, Comma and Ringlet butterflies. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge this morning 17 Cormorants flew N, 50+ Dunlins flew in from the N, two Green Sandpipers, 12 Yellow Wagtails, a female/juvenile Marsh Harrier, four juvenile Kestrel, two juvenile Buzzards, a Peregrine and lots of Common Terns over. (Gordon Hodgson).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Birds today included 11 Mute Swans, two Wigeon, eight Teal, two male Tufted Ducks and a female with six nearly full-grown chicks, a Grey Heron, a Little Egret, a juvenile Marsh Harrier came over twice causing panic among ducks and Lapwings, still four juvenile Coots, 70 Lapwings, a Snipe, a Green Sandpiper and 5+ Reed Warblers. Guscar Rocks     At high tide today, 200 Curlews, 120 Black-headed Gulls, 30 Herring Gulls, 40 Canada Geese, Oystercatcher, Dunlin, a Cormorant, a Grey Heron, two Goldfinches and two Lapwings. (Iain Crawford).

Minchinhampton     At 6pm an adult male Sparrowhawk plucking a small bird on a roadside tree in Windmill Road. (Nikki Smith).

Maisemore     From Church Road and around the pool and to the weir on the Severn from late evening to twilight birds included the two released male Wood Ducks, the male Red Crested Pochard of unknown origin 14 Mallards, nine Moorhens, a Green Woodpecker, a Blackcap heard, two Greenfinches, five Long-tailed Tits, four Swallows, five House Martins, two Stock Doves, seven Greylags over and a Kestrel.
