Upper Framilode/Epney     The GLAUCOUS GULL foraging on the bank immediately opposite St Peter’s Church at 9:30am then flew 100m upriver to a bank partially obscured. Frampton pools     A male Goldeneye still, a female Pochard, a pair of Shovelers, 191 Tufted Ducks, seven Gadwalls, two Kingfishers, five Siskins, a Nuthatch, a Treecreeper, six Bullfinches, a Sparrowhawk and a Tawny Owl today. Ashleworth Ham     The drake GREEN_WINGED TEAL again today at 2pm from Meerend Thicket hide. It flew off into the flooded fields to the right and was relocated there at 3:30pm but no further sign from 4pm. Also five Snipe and a pair of Peregrines on the pylon. Yesterday a Black-tailed Godwit. Other birds today included 250+ Lapwings, 36+ Shovelers, 130+ Teal, 275+ Wigeon, 38+ Pintails, 57+ Mallards, 123 Canada Geese, two Grey Herons, 28 Greylags, five Gadwalls, four Tufted Ducks, a Snipe and two Cormorants, also 200+ Fieldfares and 100+Redwings at Colways Farm. At Maisemore, 30+ Redwings and a Jay. (Mark Grieve).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Birds today included nine Mute Swans, 50 Canada Geese, a Shelduck, at least 2000 Wigeon, at least 2000 Teal, two Gadwalls, 50 Mallards, at least 226 Pintails, at least 103 Shovelers, six Tufted Ducks, a Grey Heron, 25 Coots, an Oystercatcher, 120 Lapwings and a Curlew. Epney/Upper Framilode     The GLAUCOUS GULL again today sat on the sand spit at SO7543710742 between Epney and Upper Framilode from 9:05am until 5:13pm at least. Aldsworth     A first winter ICELAND GULL in a mixed flock of Black-headed and Herring Gulls, in a sheep field N of the B4425 NE of Aldsworth this morning at 8am at SP164101. (Will Lishman).

On Alney Island at Castlemeads West 40 Teal, 20 Mallards, six Shovelers, two pairs of Gadwalls and  six Coots. At Oxlease/Port Ham a Kestrel and c160 Redwings. (Gordon Avery).

Awre     A female MERLIN showing well late afternoon. (Andy Jayne).

Walmore Common     Three Whooper Swans again and 15 Ruff today. (Andy Jayne).

Rodley     A GLAUCOUS GULL this morning on the river at Rodley Sands. Also a Chiffchaff, two Sparrowhawks, two Buzzards, three Snipe and 40+ Pied Wagtails. (Dave Smith).

Saul Warth     A WATER PIPIT at 2:15pm today and a Common Sandpiper at 4:30pm. (Martin Greenish).

Bourton-on-the-Water     At 4:30pm a GREAT WHITE EGRET flew very low from near south pit, maybe one of the flooded fields, across the road towards the northern pits. (Keith Jennings).

Quedgeley     At least six Bullfinches in the willow saplings at the balancing pond adjacent to Asda today at noon. (Mike Cook).

Winstone     At the Miserden turn off near Winstone 150-200 Golden Plovers in flight at 2pm and near Duntisbourne Rouse a large flock of mixed finches at 2:15pm 500+ birds, mainly Goldfinches, Linnets and Chaffinches. (Mike Cook).

Hempsted     Beside the bypass at Netheridge Farm two Green Sandpipers, a Little Egret, two Buzzards and a murmuration of c1000 Starlings at 1:50pm. (Mark Hobson).

Twyning     A male Reed Bunting in the garden today. (Phil & Chris Andrews).

Rudford     Along a short stretch of the River Leadon early afternoon two Peregrines seen from SO788211 at the Rudford end of Lassington woods. Also five Linnets, a Grey Heron, seven Fieldfares, two Buzzards and a Raven. (John Fletcher).

Haresfield     A LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER flew over Haresfield Beacon, perched at the top of a pine tree calling, then flew in a northerly direction. (Marie-Claire Chapman).

WWT Slimbridge     The GLOSSY IBIS left its South Lake roost at 8:55am and flew towards the car park. (Roy Shilham). Three Egyptian Geese on the Rushy at 8:05am but flew off. Upper Rissington-Great Barrington trig point     40 Golden Plovers in flight at midday, the ringtail HEN HARRIER at 12:55pm and the GREAT GREY SHRIKE at 1pm. Also four Red Kites and at least four Buzzards. (Gordon Avery).

Arlingham     The RICHARD’S PIPIT still this afternoon in the small field with the little hawthorn tree by the river’s edge at SO718118. Park sensibly in Arlingham village. Take the public footpath on the left after Slowwe House (don’t take the Silver Street Project trail). Follow the footpath across the fields until you reach a farmyard (with Alpacas). Go up onto the seawall and follow the Severn Way downriver towards the bird. (Mike Wakeman).

Sharpness     The GREAT NORTHERN DIVER still on the SARA pool today. For birders visiting for the Diver, the bird is also being regularly seen in the ‘marina’ area. Please keep strictly to the towpath and/or footpath through this area. With patience you will see it well either side of the marina. (Paul Taylor).

Cotswold Water Park West     The GREAT NORTHERN DIVER still on Pit 16 today. Also two Egyptian Geese amongst the Canada Goose flock on the bank. (Ali Brooks).

At Cannop Ponds 21 Mandarins, seven Little Grebes, a Grey Wagtail and two Siskins. In the wood above Crabtree Hill two Ravens and four Crossbills. Three Hawfinches from Crown Lane at Parkend. Westonbirt     5+ Hawfinches at the old Westonbirt Arboretum around the feeding station at 2:40pm, also two Marsh Tits. (Mark Hobson).

Ozleworth     Still two Bramblings with c40 Chaffinches 400m N of the BT Tower between the game cover crop and Beech trees, ST792950. Also a Red Kite. (Phil Pope).

Yanworth     This afternoon a Brambling in with a small flock of Chaffinches at Oxpens Farm, between Yanworth and Hampnett at SP08521424. (Martine Fenn).

Blaisdon     A Hawfinch in the village centre today. (David & Gillian Smith).

Guscar Rocks     220 Curlews roosted overnight on the rocks, then at high tide this morning an Oystercatcher, three Redshanks, 18 Dunlins, 200 Wigeon and 50 Teal. (John Sanders).

Whitminster     A Tawny Owl in a tree opposite Highfield Nursery, School Lane at 5:55pm today. (Tanya Allen).

Berkeley     A pair of Goldcrests in Quarry Wood near Ham. (Andrew Jones).

Breadstone     A Barn Owl by Bushy Grove today. (Andrew Jones).

Upleadon     This afternoon around SO746276 birds included five Buzzards, a male Kestrel, 50 Redwings, nine Fieldfares, three Green Woodpeckers, five Great Spotted Woodpeckers, five Jays and six Bramblings. (John Fletcher).

WWT Slimbridge     The GLOSSY IBIS remained out of sight for most of the day but returned to roost on South Lake at 4pm. (Paul Masters/Mark Hobson).

Harnhill     The Great Bustard again in the Harnhill area but fairly elusive for such a large bird. (Tom & Greg Mabbett).

Cheltenham      At Pittville Park a male Mandarin by the island in the boating lake this morning. (John Sanders).

Forest of Dean      At Crabtree Hill the GREAT GREY SHRIKE still present mid morning and seen to take a mouse. Also ten Song Thrushes, a Nuthatch, a Treecreeper, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, nine Crossbills, six Jays, a Mistle Thrush, three Siskins, a Buzzard and three Roe Deer. At New Fancy View a Raven, a Siskin, a Bullfinch and a Mistle Thrush. (Mark Grieve). 13 Hawfinches on the ground at Parkend at 9:30am in Crown Lane. (Pete Dovey).

Coombe Hill Meadows      Water levels remain high today and the Grundon Hide not readily accessible because of high water on the boardwalk. Birds included seven Mute Swans, at least 250 Canada Geese, three Shelducks, c750 Teal, c300 Wigeon, c30 Shovelers, 25 Pintails, 40 Lapwings, a Curlew heard, at least one Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming, a Mistle Thrush and 3/4 Song Thrushes singing. Great Barrington      The ringtail HEN HARRIER was cruising the hedgelines of the fields S of the Barrington trig point at 1:15pm. Also the GREAT GREY SHRIKE showing perched on top of a hedge, viewed from trig point pull-in. (Roberta Goodall).

WWT Slimbridge     The GLOSSY IBIS on South Lake again this morning. At 11:35am in the near corner of the field adjacent to the car park, also two White-fronted Geese and at least 100 Curlew on the Tack Piece. This afternoon a Little Stint and a Spotted Redshank on the Rushy (from Peng Observatory), and a Water Rail showing well from the Knott Hide; also ten Avocets, at least 70 Black-tailed Godwits and two Oystercatchers on the South Lake. Cotswold Water Park West     On Pit 43 at SU02809483 a BITTERN flew into the reed bed on the N side of Pit 43 at 1:45pm and stayed visible for 30mins then disappeared deeper in. (Martine Fenn).

Great Barrington Around the trig point near Barrington Bushes the GREAT GREY SHRIKE, the ringtail HEN HARRIER, four Buzzards, five Red Kites, a Kestrel, 60+ Golden Plovers, 49+ Skylarks, 70+Fieldfares, 30+ Yellowhammers and 30+ Goldfinches. (Ewan Urquhart). Also seven Lapwings. (Simon Hart).

Leigh river meadows     320+ Wigeon, 300+ Teal, 12 Shelducks, an Egyptian Goose, two Grey Herons, 350+ Lapwings, 48 Pied Wagtails, two Cormorants, 38+ Meadow Pipits, 75+ Redwings, ten Skylarks, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Stonechats, 600+ Fieldfares, three Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk and a Peregrine. Wainlodes     A mixed flock of 200 Fieldfares, 200 Starlings and 50 Redwings on flooded pasture. (Mark Grieve).

Sharpness     A Common Sandpiper SO6672702385 in the channel below the NedWest building, also a Peregrine on the second silo. (Roger Gillespie).

Wotton-under-Edge     A Brambling with c15 Chaffinches near the top of Blackquarries Hill, ST779934. (Vic Polley).
