Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint today the Peregrine pair, Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk, Ravens, Jays, four Bullfinches, Redwings, Long-tailed Tits, three Mandarins (1m,2f), two Pied Wagtails, a female Goosander, Coal Tits, a Kingfisher, a Tawny Owl calling, Cormorants and a Grey Heron. Other sightings included Red Admiral butterflies, Orange Ladybirds and Fallow Deer rutting. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Eastleach     A Hawfinch SSW over Eastleach Downs crossroads at midday. Also a Corn Bunting and a Lesser Redpoll in song. (Ian Ralphs).

Cotswold Water Park East     A Goldeneye on Pit 126 and 499 Tufted Ducks on Pit 125 this morning. (Ian Ralphs).

Nailsworth     A Hawfinch W over Forest Green this morning. (Francis Steuck).

Frampton pools     A GREAT WHITE EGRET, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, four Chiffchaffs, ten Redwings, seven Siskins, eight Lesser Redpolls, a Grey Wagtail, 55 Pied Wagtails, 16 Goldcrests, ten Reed Buntings and 38 Robins. (Nick Goatman).

Wotton-under-Edge     A Red Kite over today. (Paul Rich).

Forest of Dean     c15 Lesser Redpolls, a Stonechat, a Buzzard and a Red-legged Partridge at Crabtree Hill at 4pm. (Nat Roberts). WWT Slimbridge     A probable Semipalmated Sandpiper from Zeiss hide, first found by Martin McGill, but distance hampering definite ID, at least four Little Stints and 100 Dunlins. On South Lake two Curlew Sandpipers, a Spotted Redshank, a juvenile Mediterranean Gull and six Ruff. (Alan Baxter). An Avocet on South Lake at 4pm. (Mark Hobson).

Frampton     At Court Lake today two Redwings, the GREAT WHITE EGRET, 29 Little Egrets, three Grey Wagtails, a Peregrine, a Kingfisher, two Little Grebes and three Tawny Owls. (Nick Goatman).

Berkeley shore     At high tide seven Turnstones, a Wheatear, six Little Egrets, five Grey Herons, 18 Meadow Pipits, six Linnets and a Curlew. (Les Ditchburn).

Gloucester     A Peregrine hunting the field adjacent to Horsebere Brook Flood Storage Lake this morning. (Martin Greenish). At Gloucester Docks, a Sparrowhawk over. (Mark Grieve).

Dunfield     A Barn Owl at 8:10pm. (Mark Grieve).

Duntisbourne Abbots     11 Redwings and three Fieldfares on the Polo pitch off Jackbarrow Road at 8:12am and c12 Golden Plovers in the opposite field. (Michael Cook).

Winstone     A Red Kite on a Pheasant carcass near the Miserden turn off and a Grey Heron stood in the middle of a nearby field being mobbed by three Magpies and a Crow. (Michael Cook).

Epney     73 Canada Geese on the river this morning, joined by another 20 at 10:15am but all gone by 10:30am. Also a Raven heard. Nearby two female Kestrels along the A38 S past Fromebridge and a male Kestrel and a Buzzard by the A38 near Cambridge at 2:30pm. (Paul Sutton).

Frampton pools     This afternoon the GREAT WHITE EGRET, 22 Little Egrets, 25 Cormorants, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, two Green Sandpipers, a Kingfisher, a Cetti’s Warbler and a Water Rail heard, two Grey Wagtails and a Chiffchaff singing. (MK).

Nailsworth     This morning over Windsoredge 30 Redwings, four Swallows, six House Martins, 22 Goldfinches and 100+ Woodpigeons. (Roy Bircher).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A pair of adult Mute Swans with eight full grown cygnets, 60 Teal, eight Mallards, five Shovelers, 12 Grey Herons, a Kestrel, 6+ Moorhens, three Snipe, ten Skylarks, ten Meadow Pipits, a Stonechat, 80 Goldfinches and two Reed Buntings. (Mike Smart).

Upham Meadow     Five Greylags, 200 Canada Geese, a Cormorant and a Stonechat today. (Mike Smart).

Guscar Rocks     On this morning’s tide, 49 Curlews (including 11 with colour rings), 45 Lapwings, 20 Redshanks, two Oystercatchers, a Dunlin, and a Snipe on the tide-line. (John Sanders).

Beachley Point     Eight Oystercatchers, and two Whimbrels today (these returning wintering birds have been present since 13 September, at least). (John Sanders).

Framilode     Five Ruffs on the river. (John Sanders).

Ashleworth Ham     Between 10am and midday five Snipe, 20 Teal, 18 Shovelers, 23 Wigeon, two Grey Herons, 16 Mallards, a Pied Wagtail, a Raven and a Buzzard. (John Fletcher).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Mid to late afternoon four Greenfinches, a Kestrel, 12 Linnets, three Stonechats (2m, 1f), six Long-tailed Tits, 14 Mallards, four Moorhens, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, 100 Goldfinches and 15 Starlings. On the Long pool 60 Teal, two Gadwalls, three Snipe, two Common Sandpipers, two Jays, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Cormorant and a Grey Heron. (John Fletcher).

Frampton     At Court Lake the GREAT WHITE EGRET, 15 Little Egrets, 25 Teal, three Kingfishers, a Chiffchaff, two Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Green Woodpecker, four Jays and a Red Kite over at 4:40pm. (Steve Pullen). Four Snipe at Splatt reed bed and a Kingfisher this morning. Nearby 50+ Meadow Pipits at Saul Warth. (Gordon Hodgson).

Berkeley shore     A Whimbrel and Wheatear. Also five Small Coppers and three Migrant Hawkers. (Paul Taylor).

Hempsted     A Cetti’s Warbler today at Netheridge Farm, a patch tick, also a male Tawny Owl vocal at midday, three Chiffchaffs, three Buzzards, seven Teal and the female Wigeon still. (Mark Hobson).

Painswick Beacon     This morning 27 Redwings and five Song Thrushes NW between 9-10am. (Francis Steuck).

Dowdeswell Reservoir     A Water Rail, four Redwings, three Lesser Redpolls, three Cormorants and four Great Crested Grebes today. (Tom Mabbett).

WWT Slimbridge     A MANX SHEARWATER from Holden Tower at 9:39am, also two Marsh Harriers. Ten Little Stints, a Curlew Sandpiper, 18 Ruff and a Spotted Redshank from Zeiss hide. (Rob Werran). Also two Green Sandpipers here and at least 16 Snipe from Hogarth hide. (Morag Hughes). A WHOOPER SWAN and a Spotted Redshank on the Rushy at 8am. (Paul Daunter).

Hawling     A Short-eared Owl at 7:05pm, four Red Kites, a Peregrine, two Barn Owls, five Kestrels, 20+ Golden Plovers and three Yellowhammers. (John Fletcher/Martin Greenish/Ken Hills).

Frampton pools     Around the pools today the GREAT WHITE EGRET, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, four Swallows, a Red Kite, two Lesser Redpolls, four Grey Wagtails, 22 Little Egrets, 102 Tufted Ducks, ten Great Crested Grebes and five Mistle Thrushes. (Nick Goatman).

Halmore     Today a Mistle Thrush and a male Whinchat in fields here. Yesterday a Nuthatch on the peanut feeder, a garden first. (Chris Newton).

Selsley Common     VisMig from 8am-10:30am included 55 alba Wagtails, 50 Meadow Pipits, 18 Siskins, 36 Swallows and a Reed Bunting. (Francis Steuck).

Hardwicke     A Red Kite above the M5/J12 at 10:40am being mobbed by a corvid. (Stuart Evans).

Cheltenham     A garden female Pheasant, the 3rd record in 32 years, a female Sparrowhawk, five Long-tailed Tits and a Coal Tit today. (Steve Brown).

Naunton     A male Merlin at Grangehill pursuing Linnets this morning. (Richard Tyler).

Colesbourne     12 Ravens soaring together this morning. (Duncan Dine).

WWT Slimbridge     At least four unringed Common Cranes on the reserve today including a juvenile. From Holden Tower a Marsh Harrier and the Red-breasted Goose with the feral Barnacle Goose flock. From Zeiss hide four Curlew Sandpipers and ten Little Stint. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Frampton     On the Sailing Lake the adult Yellow-legged Gull, 13 Little Egrets, 94+ Tufted Ducks, 30+ Coots, 10+ Cormorants, a Black-tailed Godwit, a Green Sandpiper, two Swallows S, four Skylarks N, 10+ Meadow Pipits and a singing Chiffchaff. In the Gravel Wash two Treecreepers and 5+ Goldcrests. On Court Lake the GREAT WHITE EGRET, five Little Egrets, 40+ Teal, two Green Sandpipers, a Grey Wagtail and two Kingfishers. Frampton pools     The GREAT WHITE EGRET still, 31 Little Egrets, 25 Gadwalls, two Green Sandpipers, two Water Rails, a Cetti’s Warbler, 242 Canada Geese, 63 Mute Swans, a Grey Wagtail and two Kingfishers this evening. (Nick Goatman).

May Hill     Ravens, two Buzzards, Long-tailed Tits, a Kestrel, Linnets and Meadow Pipits today. Other sightings included a Southern Hawker and a Hornet. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Gloucester     At 2pm a Red Kite drifted fairly high across Stroud Road/Robinswood Hill Orchard heading cNNE SO834154. (Ian Elphick).
