WWT Slimbridge     This morning a juvenile Wheatear on the Tack Piece also seven Green Sandpipers and a juvenile Black-tailed Godwit. On the Rushy five Green Sandpipers and two Comm Sandpipers. (Paul Masters).

Hidcote    A pair of Ravens flew south along the escarpment near Hidcote Manor today. (Iain Smith).

Minchinhampton Common     A male Redstart, three Willow Warblers and a Sparrowhawk this morning. (Keith & Lyn Perkins).

Winchcombe     A Spotted Flycatcher in Sudeley Castle car park at 4pm. (Roger Wasley).

Daglingworth     Three Hawfinches at SO9700904570 on the ride at Bathurst Estate Woods, Overley Road this morning at 6am. (Michael Cook).

Huntley     A Hobby over hunting at 3:40 pm and 7pm today. (Martin Drew).

Cleeve Hill     From the Gallops/Wontley Farm two Corn Buntings, four Stonechats, two Redstarts (male & juv), a juvenile Whinchat, an adult Wheatear and c10 Whitethroats today. (Tom Mabbett).

Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock Viewpoint today the Peregrines, two Goshawks, a Kestrel, a Sparrowhawk, Ravens, a pair of Bullfinches, Swallows, House Martins, Swifts, Stock Doves, and a Green Woodpecker. Also Ringlet, Red Admiral, Holly Blue, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Large and Small White butterflies, Hummingbird Hawkmoths, a Hornet and a Fox. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Purton     This evening, a Kingfisher, a Reed Warbler, two Great Crested Grebes, a Little Grebe, a fishing Cormorant and many Moorhens. (Chris Newton).

Bisley     Two Nuthatches, 10+ Swallows, two Coal Tits, 10+ Bullfinches, two Stock Doves, four House Martins, a Buzzard, a Green Woodpecker, four Chiffchaffs, a Roe Deer and a Hummingbird Hawkmoth this morning. (Mark Grieve).

The Camp     40 Swallows on wires at 6:40am. (Mark Grieve).

Quedgeley     This evening at Shelduck Road a Barn Owl flew low over the garden at 10pm. (Steve Pullen).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Five Canada Geese, two Teal, 100 Mallards, a Grey Heron, a Sparrowhawk, 120 Lapwings, four Green Sandpipers, c30 Swallows , at least one Reed Warbler, 3-4 Sedge Warblers, 1+ Whitethroat. 3-4 Willow Warblers, several Chiffchaffs, c20 Starlings and a Yellowhammer singing. Cleeve Hill     Around Wontley Farm a Whinchat, two Stonechats, a Corn Bunting and a Redstart today. (Steve Brown).

Cherington     Near Cherington Lake at least two Spotted Flycatchers today. (Terry Grant).

Cotswold Water Park West     At Shorncote reedbed this afternoon at Pit 85b birds included a Hobby, a Kestrel, two Buzzards, a Kingfisher, four Linnets, four Common Terns, two Cormorants, a Grey Heron, three Reed Warblers, two Sedge Warblers and two Reed Buntings. At Pit 85a birds included six Common Terns (3 juvs), 19 Mallards, seven Mute Swans (5 large cygnets), two Gadwall, two Tufted Ducks, six Long-tailed Tits and a Grey Heron. Coombe Hill Meadows     A juvenile Marsh Harrier dropped into the reserve at 2pm and stayed for c15 minutes.  Also a female Kestrel hunting, a Buzzard over, and a Little Owl in willows by the canal. (Bernard Michaux).

Cotswold Water Park (East)      A Little Egret, four Ringed Plovers, a Common Sandpiper, three Redshanks and five Yellow-legged Gulls at Pit 132. Also a Brown Hawker. (Andy Jayne). On Pit 126 this morning two Redshanks, a Dunlin, two juvenile Little Ringed Plovers but no sign of the Knot. Also a Green Sandpiper on Pit 132. (Jon Mercer).

Cotswold Water Park (West)     At least 20 Garden Warblers in scrub by Pit 65. Also 22 Red Crested Pochards, a Hobby and three Green Woodpeckers. (Andy Jayne).

Cleeve Hill/Wontley Farm     Eight Stonechats, two Whinchats, two Redstarts and a Corn Bunting today. (Greg Mabbett).

Cotswold Water Park East     A near summer-plumaged KNOT on the sandbank at the eastern end of Pit 126  (Bowmoor Sailing Lakes) from 9am to late morning at least, a very good bird for CWP. (Duncan Dine). Also two Dunlins and a Kingfisher. (John Durell). Pics by Duncan (1st) and Richard Tyler.

Dowdeswell Reservoir     A pair of Great Crested Grebes with two young and a second brood on their back, two Common Sandpipers, a Hobby over chasing House Martin and four Mute Swans. (Tom Mabbett).

Frampton pools     Nine Common Terns (6 juvs), a Yellow-legged Gull, five Swifts, 500+ Sand Martins, eight Great Crested Grebes, two juvenile Goldcrests and a young Peregrine. (Nick Goatman).

Tewkesbury     At 9:30am 10+ SWIFTS flying strongly S this morning. (Les Ditchburn).

Ashleworth Ham     From GWT hide and Meerend Thicket this afternoon birds included 53 Goldfinches, a Little Egret, a Grey Heron, two Swallows and two Nuthatches. (John Fletcher).

Ashleworth Ham     Today’s CES ringing session caught 73 birds, including a juvenile Grasshopper Warbler, four Sedge Warblers, 23 Whitethroats (all juvs), six Chiffchaffs, five Willow Warblers, seven Reed Buntings (all juvs), two juvenile Treecreepers and two Bullfinches. Other birds on the reserve included a Sparrowhawk, two Buzzards, a Green Sandpiper, a Redstart, c10 each of House Martins and Swallows, a Raven and at least 50 Goldfinches. Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock Viewpoint the resident Peregrines, Buzzards, two Goshawks, two Hobbies, Ravens, Swifts, Swallows, House and Sand Martins, a Jay, Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Long-tailed Tits, Mandarins, and a Kingfisher. Other Sightings included Holly Blue, Common Blue, Peacock, Red Admiral, Small Copper, Ringlet, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Silver-washed Fritillary, Speckled Wood, Comma, Small and Large White butterflies, Hummingbird Hawkmoths, a Hornet and a Fallow Deer. Frampton     On the Sailing Lake a Yellow-legged Gull, 13 Common Terns (8 juvs), six Swifts and 20+Swallows this morning and this evening 60+ Swifts, 300+ Sand Martins, seven Yellow Wagtails, 42 Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, three Whitethroats, eight Reed Warblers and four Reed Buntings. Barnsley Warren SSSI     This morning a female Sparrowhawk chasing Swallows, two Stock Doves, two Green Woodpeckers, a Redstart singing briefly and a female seen, a singing Willow Warbler, several singing Yellowhammers, three Bullfinches and flocks 20+ each of Linnets and Goldfinches. Around the area at least four pairs of Buzzards with begging young. Butterflies including several Chalkhill Blue near the Fosse Way, Small Skippers, a Small Heath, Gatekeepers and many Common Blues. Standish     A steady swirling stream of at least 200 Swifts going over this morning from 9-9:30am with a general southwards drift. (Juliet Bailey/Paul Tyers).

WWT Slimbridge    A CATTLE EGRET on the Rushy today from 10:35am. (Paul Daunter). Also a Marsh Harrier, 30+ Dunlins, a Garden Warbler, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Pochard, two Common Terns and a juvenile Kingfisher. (Tom Weston-McClung).

Newbridge     Late morning a GREAT WHITE EGRET flew N over Newbridge towards Bourton-on-the-Water. (Richard Tyler).

Gloucester     Three Whinchats at Horsbere Brook Flood Storage Area this morning. (Andy Jayne).

Saul Warth     Four Whimbrels, 34 Curlews, 6+ Ringed Plovers, 60+ Dunlins, ten Sanderlings, a Turnstone and six Common Terns (5 juvs) late morning. (Gordon Hodgson).

Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area the Peregrine pair and their three juveniles, a Goshawk, two Buzzards, a male Kestrel, Ravens, a Little Egret, Swallows, Swifts, House Martins, a Jay, Stock Doves. Other sightings included a mating pair of Clouded Magpie Moths, Red Admiral, Green-veined White, Holly Blue and Common Blue butterflies, Hummingbird Hawkmoths and a Fallow Deer. Cheltenham     A party of four Ravens over Naunton Park, a female Sparrowhawk and a party of Long-tailed Tits including juveniles. (Steve Brown).

Leckhampton     At Leckhampton Church two begging juvenile Sparrowhawks a begging Buzzard and two Stock Doves.  Along the footpath from the church to Leckhampton Hill another begging Buzzard, two Green Woodpeckers and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. (Steve Brown).

Crickley Hill     A Yellowhammer this afternoon. Also Chalkhill Blues and an Essex Skipper. (Duerden Cormack).

Stonehouse     A Hobby flew W near Stonehouse Court Hotel at 5:25pm. (Duerden Cormack).

Coombe Hill Meadows     The Little Ringed Plovers family still, an adult female and a juvenile Kestrel trying to catch the young Little Ringed Plovers. Also eight Canada Geese, 100 Mallards, 180 Lapwings, five Green Sandpipers, two Snipe and at least eight Sedge Warblers. The Long Pool hide is closed because of a Hornet’s nest. (Mike Smart).

Sharpness    An adult LITTLE GULL and a juvenile Mediterranean Gull at SARA this evening, although distant on a sand bar. (Andy Jordan).

Tewkesbury     A Whinchat amongst vegetation on the uncut area of the Ham. (Bernard Michaux).

WWT Slimbridge     A KITTIWAKE floated past at high tide, Also a Little Stint still, a Sanderling and 100+ Curlews but no sign of the Pectoral Sandpiper today. (Scott Petrek).

Frampton     At the Sailing Lake a Yellow-legged Gull, a Mediterranean Gull, nine Common Terns, a Grey Wagtail, six Pied Wagtails and 20+ Sand Martins this morning. (Nick Goatman).

Crickley Hill C.P.     A Sparrowhawk, 16+ Swallows, three Buzzards, a Nuthatch, a Green Woodpecker, two Ravens, a Treecreeper, a Chiffchaff, 5+ Bullfinches, two Stock Doves, a Swift, a Jay, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Blackcaps and two Roe Deer. (Mark Grieve).

Cotswold Water Park East     At Whelford Pools GWT reserve this afternoon on Pit 111 six Great Crested Grebes (3 juvs), five Red Crested Pochards (2 juvs), seven Gadwalls, six Tufted Ducks, a Kingfisher, 14 Coots, a Grey Heron, four Cormorants, three Mallards, two Common Terns, two Reed Warblers, a Willow Warbler singing, five Long-tailed Tits, a Goldfinch, two Reed Buntings and two Bullfinches heard. On Pit 111a four Red Crested Pochards, 28 Tufted Ducks (18 juvs), four Great Crested Grebes (2 juvs), six Coots, a Grey Heron and seven Cormorants. Two Egyptian Geese on Pit 126. (John Fletcher).
