WWT Slimbridge     This morning at 8:15am, two SPOONBILLS seen from Holden Tower, later they were on South Lake. Also from Holden Tower, five Oystercatchers, a pair of Shovelers, seven Lapwings, a Peregrine perched on a post and a Chiffchaff.  On the Rushy two Oystercatchers and 13 Avocets. From Zeiss hide 14 Avocets, a Cetti’s Warbler and a Little Egret. On South Lake a LITTLE GULL still, c28 Avocets and two Ruff. (Marie-Claire Chapman). A pair of GARGANEYS still on South Lake today. Selsley     This morning before 8:30am singles of Wheatear, Willow Warbler and Swallow. (Francis Steuck).

Frampton     A SWALLOW on the Sailing Lake at 1pm and a male Linnet singing by the Sailing Club. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     Two SPOOONBILLS arrived on the Top New Piece late afternoon viewed from Zeiss hide. (Martyn Leighton).  A first-summer LITTLE GULL, a drake GARGANEY and a Spotted Redshank on South Lake and a CATTLE EGRET on the Top New Piece. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Cotswold Water Park West    At Shorncote Reedbed four Little Egrets, a pair of Shovelers, a pair of Teal, two Green Sandpipers, an Oystercatcher, a Little Ringed Plover, 15 Lapwings, three Meadow Pipits, a Skylark, two Sand Martins, a WHITETHROAT, four Willow Warblers, three Chiffchaffs, four Blackcaps, eight Cetti’s Warblers, five Linnets, eight Goldfinches, six Reed Buntings, an albino Magpie and a female Wheatear. Gloucester     11 WAXWINGS still high up in the trees in Glevum Way park behind Morrisons this morning. (Rob Curtis). The SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF still at Port Ham today. Park along the by-pass before the Over turn by the metal gate on the left. The bird is on the edge of the reedy pond along the reeds edge, S of the railway bridge at SO817193. (Andy Jayne).

Ashleworth Ham     A GREAT WHITE EGRET (same bird?), five Little Egrets, two Redshank, a Green Sandpiper, two Oystercatchers, three Snipe, seven Lapwings, two Curlews, 99 Teal, two pairs of Pintails, five Shelducks, a Treecreeper, two Nuthatches, a female Reed Bunting and three Swallows today. Hardwicke     A male Wheatear on waste ground at SO8077512416 for most of the morning, then flew off W at 1:30pm. (Michael Cook).

Symonds Yat     From the viewpoint today the Peregrine pair and an intruding Peregrine, two Goshawks, six Buzzards, a Kestrel, a male Sparrowhawk, a Red Kite, Ravens, a Song Thrush, a pair of Stock Doves, a pair of Mandarins, a pair of Grey Wagtails, a pair of Marsh Tits, Long Tailed Tits, a Green Woodpecker, a pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers. two Siskins, a Treecreeper, two Jays, a pair of Goosanders, three Chiffchaffs, eight Fallow Deer, a Bank Vole and a colony of Ashy Mining Bees. Mickleton    Belated news of an OSPREY headed N over Meon Hill, near Mickleton on the 25th March. (Louise Boxall).

Frampton     Two CATTLE EGRETS and six Little Egrets on the flashes NW of Splatt Bridge at 11 am. (Andy & Sue Gibbons).

WWT Slimbridge     On the Rushy birds included nine Avocets, four Lapwings, two Chiffchaffs and a Blackcap. From the Holden Tower and Walkway, two Little Ringed Plovers, two Oystercatchers, five GCRP Common Cranes, three Blackcaps, two Chiffchaffs, nine Curlews, a Jay, a Cetti’s Warbler, 14 Lapwings, a Wheatear and a Peregrine. On South Lake two Mediterranean Gulls, a Kingfisher, 140 Black-tailed Godwits, a first-winter LITTLE GULL, a Ruff, a Snipe, four Lapwings, two Little Egrets and 39 Avocets including a colour ringed bird. From South Finger to Kingfisher hide, a Cetti’s Warbler, five Avocets, a male Pintail, three Reed Buntings, five Wigeon, two Oystercatchers, a Little Egret, four Blackcaps, two Little Grebes, a Willow Warbler and three Kingfishers.  (Mark Grieve). Kingswood     Birds today included four Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, three Grey Wagtails, two Dippers and a Kestrel. (Tom McCarthy).

Cheltenham     The Peregrine on ChristChurch tower is seen quite regularly now, this morning just before 10am it was circling the tower and suddenly flew at a passing crow which it chased until it disappeared low behind some houses. (David Norman).

Barnsley Warren SSSI      Site accessed via the stone stile at SP060053, two male Redstarts feeding together and another singing, two Ravens, three Buzzards, two Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two small parties of Bullfinches and several of both Linnets and Yellowhammers singing. Ashley     Seven Willow Warblers, 16+ Yellowhammers, a Kestrel, 9+ Skylarks, six Blackcaps, three Buzzards, three Green Woodpeckers, two Grey Partridges, three Stock Doves, 120+ Fieldfares, 11 Chiffchaffs, four Great Spotted Woodpeckers, six Bullfinches and two Nuthatches today. (Mark Grieve).

WWT Slimbridge     The immature LITTLE GULL early morning on the Rushy and then not again until 3:45pm  when it returned to South Lake. Also the Dark-bellied Brent Goose on the Dumbles, two GARGANEYS, three Mediterranean Gulls and a Spotted Redshank. (Slimbridge Sightings). Cleeve Hill     Early morning a pair of flighty RING OUZELS in the quarries above the Sheepwash valley. (MK). Later a male REDSTART, two TREE PIPITS, two Wheatears and two Golden Plovers over. Forest of Dean  A very early Pied Flycatcher at Lower hide, Nagshead today, equals the earliest record for Glos. (RSPB Gloucestershire). A TREE PIPIT, a Willow Warbler and 12 Sand Martins at Woorgreens and another two TREE PIPITS and two Willow Warblers at Crabtree Hill.  (Lewis Thomson). In Russell’s Inclosure two Willow Warblers, three Blackcaps, many Chiffchaffs and two Woodcocks. (Arron Roberts). A Willow Warbler singing and feeding all morning in the garden at Milkwall. (Ivan Proctor). A Goshawk over the house in Cinderford again heading W towards Crabtree Hill. (Owen Follis).

Cotswold Water Park West     At Shorncote Reedbed on Pit 85b birds included a Red Kite, four Chiffchaff, three Little Egrets, two Ravens, three Swallows, seven Cetti’s Warblers, a Water Rail calling, a Kingfisher, 20 Tufted Ducks, six Cormorants, three Reed Buntings and 15 Goldfinches. On Pit 85a two Little Egrets, seven Gadwalls, eight Shovelers, five Skylarks, a Kingfisher and three Cetti’s Warblers. (John Fletcher).

Saul     On the river a summer plumaged Bar-tailed Godwit, a Grey Plover, seven Ringed Plovers, three Dunlins and 75+ Curlews. (Mark Dowie).

Frampton     A YELLOW WAGTAIL on Court field with Pied Wagtails, four Swallows, 150+ Sand Martins and five CATTLE EGRETS, a GREAT WHITE EGRET and 18 Little Egrets in the roost. (Nick Goatman).

Leckhampton     A pair of vocal Kestrels near Leckhampton Church this evening. (Chris Furley).
