At the pools a Common Sandpiper, five Green Sandpipers, a Lapwing, 27 Swallows, 45 House Martins, 21 Chiffchaffs, three Blackcaps, 100+ Meadow Pipits, 308 Coots, ten Gadwalls, 38 Teal, 18 Shovelers, six Wigeon, nine Great Crested Grebes and 64 Robins. Cleeve Hill    Around the masts this afternoon six Stonechats, a Whinchat, a Redstart, a Wheatear and c40 Swallows. (Tom Mabbett).

Coberley     Seven Red Kites over Cotswold Hills Golf Course today, mainly juveniles. Also two Kestrels, two Buzzards, a Green Woodpecker and flocks of Linnets and Goldfinches heading S. (Chris Furley).

Charlton Kings Common     200+ House Martins along the scarp edge, a Willow Warbler briefly in song, two Chiffchaffs and a Sparrowhawk on a downed pigeon. (Chris Furley).

Stinchcombe Hill     The first Siskins of the autumn, a juvenile Wheatear, three Stonechats, three Spotted Flycatchers, two Whitethroats, plenty of Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps, six Greylags W, and a noticeable increase in Meadow Pipits/hirundines movement S. (James Robinson).

Forest of Dean    a male Firecrest feeding with a Goldcrest in trees at the crossroads through Nursery Meadows at Nagshead this afternoon. (Lewis Thomson).

Longney Crib     This afternoon birds included a Wheatear, 18 House Sparrows, 50+ House Martins and Swallows, a Common Sandpiper, six Little Egrets, a Grey Heron, three Chiffchaffs, a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming, a juvenile Peregrine and a Buzzard. (John Fletcher).

Saul Warth   A Little Egret, six Grey Herons. 58 Canada Geese, 81 Curlews, a Hobby mobbing a male Peregrine. In the hedgerows nine Blackcaps, seven Chiffchaffs, six Robins, two Willow Warblers, four Whitethroats and two Chaffinches. WWT Slimbridge     The BITTERN flew S over the Rushy at 8:20am. (Steve Heaven). At 12:10pm the BITTERN was seen from Zeiss hide in flight briefly then dropped into the Bottom New Piece out of sight. At 3pm the Spotted Redshank was sleeping amongst godwits on South Lake. (Les Ditchburn).

Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint today the Peregrine pair and an adult Peregrine on Great Doward Hill, a Sparrowhawk, four Buzzards, four Ravens, two Stock Doves, a Grey Heron, Swallows, House Martins, and six Mandarins. Other sightings included a Bank Vole, a Common Darter, Holly Blue, Large White, Small White, Comma, Red Admiral and Speckled Wood butterflies. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Maisemore     From Church Road around the pool and to the weir on the Severn this afternoon a GREY SEAL until it went downstream at 1:45pm, birds included the two released male Wood Ducks, a Little Grebe, 20 Mallards, two Coots, nine Moorhens, two Mute Swans, 20 Blackbirds, 11 Long tailed Tits, six Goldfinches, a Buzzard, a Kestrel and 93 Jackdaws. Bussage   This evening at Toadsmoor large lake, Toadsmoor Valley,  a Water Rail, four Blackcaps (3m, 1f), a male Bullfinch, a Marsh Tit, 15 Long-tailed Tits, a Treecreeper, two Swallows and c3 Tawny Owls calling. Also several Commas, a White Letter Hairstreak feeding on a thistle and later Daubenton’s Bat, Common Pipistrelle and a Noctule Bat. (Michael Cook).

Leigh/Cobney Meadows     At Cobney two Grey Herons and two Moorhens. At Leigh Meadows two Mallards, a Cormorant, two Green Sandpipers, five Snipe, three Meadow Pipits, a Skylark and a Chiffchaff singing and 2-3 more calling. (Mike Smart).

WWT Slimbridge    This morning at Mid Point at high tide 251 Curlews, four of them head-started birds from Slimbridge, a Greenshank and a Peregrine. Guscar Rocks     On the evening tide 480 Curlews, 20 Knot, ten Dunlins, a Ringed Plover, an adult Mediterranean Gull, at least 300 Black-headed Gulls and 1000+ Swallows at dusk gathering to roost, probably in nearby maize fields. (Mike Smart).

Frampton pools     On the Sailing Lake a juvenile Garganey, two Common Sandpipers, four Green Sandpipers, a Yellow Wagtail and 40+ Swallows. (Nick Goatman).
