WWT Slimbridge     A juvenile HEN HARRIER flew N toward Frampton, being mobbed by Marsh Harrier. Then it returned, hunting the Dumbles foreshore, before heading towards Purton. (Martin McGill). Three Wheatears, two Whinchats and a Stonechat along the fence line at Mid Point. Also a juvenile MERLIN later. (Neil Smart).

Ashleworth Ham     This afternoon birds included a Kingfisher, a Tawny Owl hooting, two Grey Herons, a Raven, a Chiffchaff, a male Reed Bunting, 11 Sand Martins, six House Martins, three Swallows, two Linnets, eight Goldfinches, a Stock Dove and five Buzzards. (John Fletcher).

WWT Slimbridge     An adult and a juvenile Spotted Redshank on the Rushy today. From Mid Point a SPOONBILL, 11 Little Egrets, nine Avocets, six Arctic Terns (5 juvs), 18 Dunlin, 90 Curlews, three Wheatears, seven Pintails and a Stonechat. (Martin McGill).

Frampton pools     Five Yellow Wagtails, three Green Sandpipers, a Great White Egret, a Yellow-legged Gull, 19 Chiffchaffs, seven Blackcaps, a Whitethroat, 217 Coots, 17 Tufted Ducks, 25 Shovelers, 12 Gadwalls, 38 Teal, 59 Mallards, 34 Moorhens, 15 Great Crested Grebes and four Little Grebes today. Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint the Peregrine pair, a Sparrowhawk, four Buzzards, a pair of Ravens, Swallows, House Martins, a Jay, four Mandarins and a mating pair of Stock Doves. Other sightings included a Bank Vole, a Hornet, Painted Lady, Small Tortoiseshell, Large White, Speckled Wood and Red Admiral butterflies. The Camp     At Rough Bank N.R. at SO914087 a Willow Warbler, a Pied Flycatcher, a Spotted Flycatcher and a Marsh Tit today. (Lloyd Evans).

Sharpness     A Greenshank, two Black-tailed Godwits, a Golden Plover, a Ringed Plover, three Wheatears, five Whitethroats, two Sedge Warblers and a Lesser Whitethroat today. (Andy Jordan).

Painswick Beacon     Birds today included Meadow Pipit, Spotted Flycatcher, Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Marsh Tit, Greenfinch, Bullfinch, Mistle Thrush, Common Gull and Nuthatch. (Sam Walker).

Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint today the resident Peregrine pair and an adult Peregrine pair perched on Great Doward hill nearby, a Red Kite, six Buzzards, a female Sparrowhawk, a pair of Ravens, a Little Egret, two Mandarins, two Grey Herons, Stock Doves, Swallows, House Martins and Great Spotted Woodpecker. Other sightings included Holly Blue, Speckled Wood, Red Admiral, Large White, Small White, Small Tortoiseshell and Painted Lady butterflies, three Fallow Deer does and a fawn and a Bank Vole.
