Longney    A Whimbrel flew downriver at Longney Sands this evening and at least ten Yellow Wagtails in riverside crops. (Andy Jayne).

Nailsworth     361 Swifts flew S along Nailsworth Valley between 6:40-7:20pm in what was a sample of an all day movement. Earlier a very brief count recorded 80+ in the space of 10 minutes. (Terry Grant).

On South Lake two adult Little Stints with 127 Dunlins, an adult Spotted Redshank, 41 Redshanks, 12 Ruff, 270 Black-tailed Godwits, two Green Sandpipers, four Little Ringed Plovers and two juvenile Avocets. Nailsworth     Between 3:45pm and 4:30pm at least 2,600+ Swifts milling over the Rape fields at Hazelcote Farm and then moving S. More birds were still coming as the afternoon went on, dropping in from a great height. (Terry Grant).

Gloucester     A Lesser Whitethroat in the garden this morning in Barnwood Avenue, a garden tick. (Rob Crofton). Two Ravens over Chatsworth Avenue, Tuffley, headed off towards Kingsway. (Dean Lord). At Horsebere Flood Storage Area SO866189 this evening 57 Goldfinches, four Greenfinches (1 m, 3 juvs), two Swifts, eight Moorhens including four chicks, 31 Mallards, a Grey Heron and eight Mute Swans including six cygnets. Tewkesbury     A Red-Tipped Clearwing moth at the Mythe Reserve today. (Phil & Chris Andrews).

Berkeley shore    An adult Yellow-legged Gull at 6:30am, also two Common Sandpipers, two juvenile Yellow Wagtails and ten Oystercatchers. (Paul Taylor).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening at least four Whinchats, a Little Ringed Plover, a Hobby, a male Wigeon, a female Teal and 28 Lapwings. (Richard Williams/Simon Ashley). This morning a juvenile Little Ringed Plover, a Whinchat with a Stonechat W of the scrapes, a Redstart heard, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Green Woodpecker and family parties of Bullfinches and Sedge Warblers. Emperor, Southern Hawker, Brown Hawker and Ruddy Darter dragonflies and a Clouded Yellow butterfly just W of the boardwalk. (Steve Brown).

Saul Warth     On the falling tide late morning a Common Sandpiper, an Oystercatcher, two Grey Herons, 500+ Black-headed Gulls, a Cormorant, 36 Shelducks, a Grey Wagtail and two Skylarks. Three Little Egrets at Awre and four Mistle Thrushes at Fretherne. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     Three CATTLE EGRETS on site today, two adults and a juvenile. (Slimbridge Sightings). 11 Green Sandpipers and 11 Dunlins on the Rushy.  (Terry Stevenson). A Common Tern at 10:45 am. (Alan Jones). On South Lake this morning 74 Dunlins, three Little Ringed Plovers, 43 Redshanks, 122 Black-tailed Godwits, 11 Ruff, nine Avocets, a male Pochard and the Spotted Redshank still. (Roberta Goodall).

Forest of Dean    At Cannop Ponds two Willow Warblers, a Redstart, Grey Wagtails, a Dipper and two Kingfishers flying together. (Dave Clarke).

Ozleworth     At Newark Park two broods of Spotted Flycatchers within 100m of the house. Also Crossbills over, heard but not seen. (Eric Palmer).

Cirencester     A Grasshopper Warbler reeling at 10:30pm at the Bathurst Estate on farmland W of Stratton today. (Ken Cservenka).

Beverston     A Red Kite just opposite the church turning at 1pm. (Donna Cook).

Whittington     At Arle Grove near Whittington today (SO995215) birds included three Marsh Tits, a Coal Tit, a Sparrowhawk, three Nuthatches and a Chiffchaff. (Howard Smith).

Nailsworth     A spectacular movement of at least 4500 Swifts over fields at Hazelcote Farm, and also across the road near to Babdown. Birds were already streaming through at 4:20pm and were still moving through at 5:10pm. Also a male Yellow Wagtail. (Terry Grant).

Netheridge Farm     A Garden Warbler at the Barn Owl Centre this morning. (Mark Hobson).

Ashleworth Ham     This afternoon three Red Kites, three Buzzards, a Kestrel, five Reed Buntings, a male Bullfinch, two Whitethroats, two Song Thrushes, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, three Skylarks, 39 Mallards, a Greylag, three Grey Herons and 14 House Sparrows around Colways Farm. WWT Slimbridge    An eclipse GARGANEY from Zeiss hide at 10:30am, however it roosted behind an island and had not re-emerged by 2pm. (Ian Hull). Also a Green Sandpiper, five Little Ringed Plovers, 70+ Dunlins, 35+ Avocets plus a pair with four small chicks, 80+ Lapwings and a Little Egret. (Ian Hull/MK). Two juvenile Whinchats on the Middle Point cross-fence this morning. Three Egyptian Geese on the Rushy. (Paul Masters). At 1:20pm two very noisy Hobbies interacting at speed together over the tin shed field containing the Long-horned Cattle. (Les Ditchburn). Also a Kingfisher, two Little Ringed Plovers, seven Ruff, an adult Great Crested Grebe and juvenile, ten Dunlins, a Grey Heron, four Cormorants, five Lapwings, 15 Redshanks, two adult Avocets with four juveniles and four Buzzards. Frampton pools     A Grasshopper Warbler, a family of four Whinchats, a female Redstart, a Willow Warbler, five Whitethroats, 21 Blackcaps, 19 Chiffchaffs, four Reed Buntings, a Hobby, a male Wigeon and an adult Yellow-legged Gull. (Nick Goatman).

Saul     A Grasshopper Warbler reeling in the overgrown stretch of the Frome, just before it goes under the ship canal at Saul Junction. Present for 6 days according to a boat owner. Also a female Grey Wagtail immediately below the Stroudwater lock off the ship canal. (Jake King).
