Cheltenham     A BLACK KITE seen from the Old Bath Road, over Pilley Bridge nature reserve, at 4:28pm, fairly high up and just a few hundred yards away, watched for c2 minutes, until it had gone out of view, gliding fairly quickly to the N. (Rob & Petra Crofton).

Clapton     This evening two Little Owls at 20:40pm, one at ST658978 in Severn Lane on top of a telegraph pole and then another further down the road on over head cables ST664979 at Blue Gates Farm. (Paddy Doyle).

Ebley     A Ring-necked Parakeet still visiting the garden in Foxmoor Lane most days. It flies between Doverow Hill and Cashes Green and often appears around 11am and again around 5pm. (Steve Kear).

Brimscombe     The recently reported Golden Oriole seen again flying through at the bottom of Browns Hill and left of Knapp Lane at 2.45pm. Today’s sighting was between Brimscombe Port and Chalford, above London Road A419 (out of Stroud, going towards Cirencester), the river, the towpath and the railway line. Knapp Lane is off to the south of London Road, and Toadsmoor to the north – going up on the left side of Browns Hill, after Brimscombe Port and before Chalford. They call this the Golden Valley with lots of woodland on the hills. (per Angela Sturdee).

Saul Warth     On the falling tide eight Grey Plovers, two in summer plumage and ten Knot, all flew N at 2pm, a Whimbrel and two Swifts. (MK). This evening 13 Knot, ten Curlews, five Whimbrels, four Grey Plovers, three Dunlins and an Oystercatcher. (Gordon Hodgson).

Cotswold Water Park East     Three BLACK TERNS and 30+ ARCTIC TERNS for about 10 minutes only at Pits 125/126 prior to 9am. Also a Whimbrel over. (Andy Jayne). 28 BLACK TERNS on Pit 114, also c30 Commic Terns, the majority Common, and two Hobbies. On Pit 131 another BLACK TERN, a pair of Oystercatchers with three nearly fledged young and two Hobbies. On an unnumbered Pit by Fairford Airfield a Sanderling and a Yellow Wagtail. (Duncan Dine).

Cotswold Water Park West     37 BLACK TERNS on Pit 41 and six Hobbies this afternoon. (Andy Jayne).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Three Grey Plovers, a Greenshank, 12 Dunlins, three Ringed Plovers, four Oystercatchers, three Redshanks, a Curlew, 41 Black-tailed Godwits, 2+ Lapwings and two Little Ringed Plovers. In the evening a male Wigeon, 12 Dunlin in summer plumage still, 40-50 Swallows brought down by showers and three Yellow Wagtails. (Mike Smart).

Westbury-on-Severn     From Westbury Strand this morning waders, arriving and departing in various mixed groups included 27 Knot, 12 Redshanks, nine Turnstones, five Grey Plovers, a Bar-tailed Godwit, c35 each of Dunlins and Ringed Plovers. Also a second-summer Mediterranean Gull. (John Phillips).
